So…. God Blew Me Away… and Left Me Undone!
🔥 The Divine Interruption
So yesterday, I was sharing with a friend how God recently blew me away and left me undone.
A few weeks ago, as I was sitting with The Father praying about many things, when He suddenly interrupted my Prayers and asked me a powerful question.
At first, it seemed strange, but the answer that came blew me away — left me undone — and Changed Everything!
He asked, “Daughter, what do you think My Greatest Desire is?”
Well, I immediately answered, “Faith… Love… Trust… Obedience… Worship?”
But The LORD was quiet, and as I spoke, I received no feedback.
Although I knew He certainly desired all those things, but they were not His “Greatest Desire“.
So I asked Him, “Father, tell me, what is Your Greatest Desire?”
He immediately answered me saying, “Daughter, My Greatest Desire is to be Known.
It is to be Known as Creator to My Creation. To be Known in all My Glory, My Majesty, My Power, My Authority… and My Love!”
Then He said it again, “Daughter, My Greatest Desire is to be Known — and for you to give Me permission to Make Myself Known to you as the All-Sufficient One, according to the riches of My Glory!”
Friends, I cannot put into words what took place in my heart and mind as I heard The Father speak those Words.
Suddenly — everything shifted!
🔥 A Mega Paradigm Shift
A Mega Paradigm Shift took place within me! It was as though a light suddenly came on.
In but a moment, I saw something I had never fully seen before. I saw that from the very beginning of time — from the moment of Creation itself — the Greatest Desire within the Heart of Creator God was not simply to create mankind — but to create mankind to ‘Make Himself Known’ to His Creation — through Intimacy, Covenant Relationship and a Demonstration of His Glory!
I suddenly saw Genesis through a completely different lens!
The Garden of Eden was never about a place — or a Realm — it was about His Presence — His Glory!
It was about Relationship! It was about Fellowship!
It was about “God making Himself Known” to those whom He had created in the Image and in the Likeness and in the full Essence of The Godhead!
🔥 The God-Shaped Longing
As I continued to meditate on what the Father had spoken, I realized why there is such a deep longing and restlessness within the human heart.
God Himself has placed something within the Heart of His Creation — a longing, a yearning and a deep Eternal ache — a God-shaped Capacity that nothing in, or of this World, can ever fully satisfy!
And Why?
Because mankind was never created to live independently of The One who Created him!
We were created for Encounter through Covenant Relationship, and for Fellowship.
We were created to ‘Know Him and to be Known by Him’!
I suddenly realised that the longing within every human heart — even at a subconscious level — is by Divine Design.
It is not a flaw or a weakness in Creation. It is not brokenness. It is evidence of Divine Design.
God has placed within every human heart a deep desire to Know The One who Created it — a desire to Encounter Him, to Experience Him, and to find its Origin and True Identity in Him.
This is why Mankind is constantly searching — searching through wealth, success, pleasures, relationships, knowledge, religion, influence and achievement….
And yet, even after obtaining many of these things, the longing remains. A yearning, a cry from deep within the soul — because the deepest need of the Human Heart can never be satisfied by created things.
Only the Creator Himself can satisfy what the Creator Himself designed!
This longing within mankind, I believe, is Heaven’s Witness that we were made for God!
I submit, this is why Scripture says, that God has ‘Set Eternity within the Heart of Man’ (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
Friends, I believe the great tragedy of Humanity is that many spend their entire lives trying to satisfy a longing that ‘Only God can truly satisfy’.
For the answer to the Cry within the human heart is not a thing — it is a Person! — The Creator Himself — The One whose Greatest Desire is to be known by His Creation!
When I saw this Truth, suddenly everything made sense!
🔥 The Divine Thread Through Scripture
The Garden — the Altars — the Covenants — the Prophets — all the Signs, Wonders and Miracles — the Great Exodus out of Egypt — the Wilderness Journey across the Desert — the Cross — The Resurrection and The Outpourng of The Holy Spirit at Pentecost…
From Genesis to Revelation there is a Divine Thread woven throughout Scripture.
The ‘Relentless Pursuit’ of a God whose ‘Greatest Desire’ is to ‘Make Himself Known’ — and a Creation that was Designed from the Beginning, even before the Foundation of the Earth — “To Know him!”
I saw with fresh and greater clarity:
- That when God parted the Red Sea — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- When God sent Manna from Heaven — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- When God caused Water to gush from a Rock — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- When God led Israel by a Pillar of Cloud by day and a Pillar of Fire by Night — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- And when their clothes did not wear out and their shoes did not fail in the wilderness — ”He was making Himself Known” as their Provider and Sustainer….
- When God delivered Daniel from the lion’s den — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- When God preserved the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace — ”He was making Himself Known”….
- When God reduced Gideon’s Army from thousands of Warriors to only three hundred — ”He was making Himself Known”….
The List goes on and on and on and on and ON….
We see throughout History — “A Creator God Making Himself Known to His Own“….
🔥 For God will Share His Glory with no man…
Hence, when God sets out to ‘Be Known’, He will remove every idol and every false foundation and every counterfeit substitute that dares to compete with His Glory.
God strips away all human wisdom and ability that would compete with His Glory being made Known in the midst.
He delights in Revealing Himself as the One Who alone is able — Who alone Saves, Delivers, Heals and Redeems….
Even Pharaoh became a stage upon which God revealed His Authority..and Power….
Even the hardening of Pharaoh’s heart became an opportunity for God to reveal His Greatness, His Glory and His Majesty.
And why?
Because God’s Desire was not just to Deliver the Nation of Israel out of Bondage!
His Desire was to “Make Himself Known to The Nation of Israel as The Only True and Living God!”
🔥 Lessons from David
And then The Holy Spirit began to highlight David to me, as suddenly I saw David’s Battle with the giant Philistine Goliath, through an entirely different Prophetic Lens.
David had no fear of Goliath, because David “Already Knew” the God who had “Made Himself Known to him!”
Davis had experienced God for himself with the Lion, with the Bear, and in countless other moments while tending to his father’s sheep.
David’s confidence was not in his own strength or ability — but rather it was in the ‘God who had Already Revealed Himself’.
Friends, David’s confidence was born out of an “Experiential Knowledge” of God…
David did not know about God — David KNEW God!
And when we truly know the God who has made Himself Known to us in previous Battles, we no longer fear the Giants standing before us in the present, for every previous Victory becomes a Testimony of the God who Desires to make Himself Known again and again and again and again!
I believe this is why sharing a Testimony is so powerful — because it will Testify to the God Who has made Himself known to His Creation!
And when we release our Testimony, the power of the spirits of fear, infirmity and oppression diminishes and flees wherever God has made Himself Known!
David understood something profound. He knew that the Battle was never ultimately about Goliath…
The Battle was yet another opportunity for God to Reveal His Glory and make Himself known to The Nation of Israel — and to their enemies!
🔥 The Biblical Meaning of “Knowing”
Then The Holy Spirit took me a little deeper as He quickened me to the words, “And Adam KNEW Eve his wife … and she conceived”…! (Genesis 4:1)
For the sake of time, I can’t share fully what I saw here, but the Biblical principle of “Knowing” is not intellectual…
”To KNOW,” as Adam “KNEW” Eve, is to enter into a deep, intimate and Sacred Place through Covenant Relationship.
“To KNOW is to experience.
To KNOW is to encounter.
To KNOW is to become One!”
Every Revelation that comes from the Heart of God is like Seed, and the Bride of Christ is Called to position herself as a Receiver of that Seed.
”True Revelation can only be received through Deep Intimacy, which becomes the place of Divine Conception — and Conception becomes Divine Transformation — and
Transformation becomes Supernatural Manifestation!”
The more God makes Himself Known, and the more we intentionally set ourselves to Know Him the more we are Transformed into His Image!
🔥 Head Knowledge vs. Experiential Knowledge
So much of what we hear in The Church today possesses a Knowledge ABOUT God — but far fewer possess an EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE of God.
And make no mistake, there is a vast difference between the two!
”Head Knowledge informs the Mind — where as Experiential Knowledge Transforms and Reforms the Heart!”
One can go to Seminary to Study God — quote His Promises — understand Doctrine — even Teach and Preach to others about Him — and yet still never truly KNOW Him through Intimate Encounter!
The Father’s Desire is not that we accumulate information about Him, but that we Encounter Him in His Fullness Personally….
”For when God makes Himself Known — everything shifts and changes!”
When God Reveals Himself as our Healer — then Healing is no longer a Doctrine or a dead Letter.
When God Reveals Himself as Jehovah Jireh our Provider — then Provision is no longer someone else’s Testimony — it becomes our lived reality!
Because once God makes Himself Known in a place of Desire or Need — we no longer simply believe that He can Provide — we KNOW Him as the All Sufficient Provider!
When God makes Himself known as our Mighty Deliverer, the chains that once bound us become evidence of His Power to Save, Rescue and Set us free — and it’s from that moment on, that Freedom is no longer something we say we believe in — it now becomes something we tangibly Carry as a Witness of Who He truly is.
And when God reveals Himself as Father, then an Orphan-hearted and a Poverty Mindset living loses its grip.
I believe this is why Job could say, “I have heard of Him by the hearing of my Ear — but NOW my Eye sees Him!” (Job 42:5)
Job moved from hearing ABOUT God — to truly KNOWING Him!
🔥 A Transformed Prayer Life
Friends, since receiving a greater understanding of what God’s Greatness Desire is, it has absolutely transformed my Prayer life.
I am No longer coming before The LORD asking, ”LORD… what can You do for me!”
But Instead I am Praying with a Radical Faith, Hope and Expectation — “Father, would You Come and Make Yourself Known?”
Father, make Yourself Known as my Healer, as my Provider, my Protector!
Come and Make Yourself Known as the Chain Breaker and Great Promise Keeper!
Father, would You Come and make Yourself Known in every area of my life that You may receive ALL THE GLORY?”
Ha! No more striving! No need to try to persuade or convince God to intervene or answer my Prayers, because if God’s Greatest Desire is truly, to be ‘KNOWN’, then His Desire to Reveal Himself to me is far greater than my desire to see Him Move…
🔥 The Onus Is Upon God
The Burden, the Desire and Delight is on God to display His Power and Glory!
When His Desire to be KNOWN is greater than my desire for the answer being made manifest, then all I need to do is give Him my YES!
Wow! How this revelation has the power to set us free and to bring us into a place of Radical Faith, Hope, Obedience and Surrender.
🔥 The Rest of Surrender
Our Responsibility is simply to Respond — to Respond to His Invitation, to His Desire and to His Call to Intimacy and Deeper Encounter!
The responsibility of Surrender and yielding belongs to me — while the responsibility of Revelation, Transformation through making Himself Known, belongs to Him!
Suddenly we will find that Prayer is not about trying to pull God into my circumstances — it’s more about giving Him Permission (Yes! Permission) — to Come and to Reveal Himself within my situations and circumstances.
Saints! Listen! If we can truly grasp the weight and gravity of this Truth, then “True Rest” comes…
No striving or manipulation. No religious rituals or performance… only a yielded Heart responding to the Invitation of a Father whose ‘Deepest Desire is to Make Himself Known’….
🔥 Prayer
Prayer, I don’t believe was ever meant to be us trying to persuade God to move on our behalf,….
Prayer has always been an Invitation for God to Reveal Who He already is, through an Experiential Knowledge of His Power, Wisdom and Glory.
And so the greatest Prayer we can pray is not, ”Father, tell me more about Yourself” — but rather it’s “Father… Come and make Yourself Known!”
For when God makes Himself Known — as I said above — ’Everything changes!”
For when we have tasted and seen His Goodness and Beheld His Glory, we discover that everything else this World tries to offer is but a hollow and empty promise, unable to satisfy the deepest needs and desires of the human Heart.
What once seemed to carry any resemblance of importance suddenly fades in the Radiant Light of His Presence, and we come to the revelation and the full conclusion that there is NO SUBSTITUTE for God…. and GOD HAS NO EQUAL!
🔥 Heaven’s Invitation
I hear The Spirit saying again, “Daughter, My Greatest Desire is to be Known….
For My Eyes are looking, searching to and fro for Sons and Daughters who will respond to the Greatest Desire of My Heart, and say, ”Father… Come and make Yourself Known that You may Receive All the Glory!”
🔥 A Sober Warning
And lastly, in light of this Revelation, I am given to feel a tangible weight of The Spirit of The Fear of The LORD — even as I write!
Hence, when God is misrepresented, it is an extraordinarily serious offense, especially because it directly undermines His Greatest Desire — ”to Be Known” truly, in His Holiness, Power, Glory, Love and Sufficiency.
When Shepherds, Leaders, Prophets — or even Online Influencers — distort His Character, they not just sharing wrong information, but with their mouths they poison the very Well of Relationship and Encounter that God longs for with His People, causing many to stumble and to harden their hearts, or fall away.
The poison turns the hearts of many away from God and toward idols, false hope or despair — instead of True Intimate Knowledge of God’s Heart.
🔥 Moses comes to Mind
Let this be a Grave Warning for ALL Leaders….
Moses, in Numbers 20:1-13, when the people complained for water, God instructed Moses to SPEAK to the rock (which was a prophetic picture of Gods Provision through His Word which was a foreshadow to Christ as the Rock).
But Instead, in anger, Moses calls the people “rebels” and he strikes the rock twice, saying, “Shall ‘WE’ …. bring water for you?” (Numbers 1:10)
Though the Water still flowed because of God’s Grace toward the people, but God’s response is incredibly sobering….
”Because you did not believe in Me, to uphold Me as HOLY in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall NOT bring this Assembly into the land that I have given them….” Numbers 20:12.
Moses was God’s Chosen representative, the one through whom God had demonstrated His Power and Glory again and again in the Wilderness Journey, but Moses acted out of frustration and took credit.
Moses misrepresented God’s Heart to the people. God wanted them TO KNOW HIM as Patient, Holy, Merciful and Gracious — but old Moses made God appear angry, harsh, irritated or dependent on human ability and force, rather than as Israel’s Sovereign Provider who responds to His Word.
This was a massive public failure to Honor God as Holy, undermining the very revelation God desired to show Israel.
And because of this moment of misrepresentation of God’s Heart to Be Made Known…Noses, the faithful Servant who had actually spoken with God face to face and who had ascended the Holy Mountain and beheld His Glory — did not enter the Promised Land.
Moses saw it from afar on Mount Nebo (Deuteronomy 34:28). He had but a glimpse of the Inheritance he had labored for, but he could not Step into it. The Door was Closed!
🔥 Thus saith The LORD
”Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let Him that glorieth Glory in this, that he Understandeth and Knoweth Me, that I am The LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I Delight, saith The LORD” Jeremiah 9:23-24 KJV.
“Thus says The LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; nut let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I AM The LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says The LORD.” Jeremiah 9:23-24 NKJV.
