Five Things to Look for Before You Join a Church
I believe the Word of God describes what a Spiritual Church should be and believe as first basic principles.
To many who will read this, they may say I am being too narrow and too judgmental, and even lack love in understanding.
But the below reasons are not mine alone but are based upon the things The LORD has been teaching me from The Holy Bible, for many years.
So, please, If you disagree and want to talk to me, “You will just have to get in line! I will talk to you all one by one as time permits. On Facebook.”
I believe all the things listed below can be backed up with Scripture; thus making these things of God.
I believe these things listed below describe A God Kind of Spiritual Church and will be blessed of The LORD and The Holy Spirit will work freely in that Church.
First thing:
Never ever join a Church that The LORD and the Holy Spirit do not first lead you to join.
Pray — and then follow Him only.
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14.
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” Galatians 5:16.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:13-15.
Second thing:
Never ever join a Church that does not believe and teach that God gives each believer Eternal Life as a Gift of Grace. Salvation is not by man but by God.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24.
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:37-40.
Third thing:
Never ever join a Church that does not believe in The Gospel Message for Salvation.
If a Church does not preach The Gospel according to the Scriptures they are accursed of God.
In other words, If they do not believe and preach The Gospel, then true Salvation will not be the fruit of that Church, and therefore their message will be accursed.

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:6-9.
Fourth thing:
Never ever join a Church that does not believe in the Virgin Birth and The Deity of Christ [Jesus is God manifest in the Flesh].
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of The LORD by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Matthew 1:21-23.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:1-3.
Fifth thing:
Never ever join a Church that does not believe in and teach the need of ever believer to be Baptized with The Holy Spirit after being saved with the evidence of speaking in tongues and the Gifts of The Spirit.
Any Church that does not have the Power of The Holy Spirit will not be a good witness to The Truth.
“Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of The LORD Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received The Holy Ghost.” Acts 8:14-17.
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as The LORD our God shall call.” Acts 2:37-39.
Of course there may be more important things that could be be listed, but, I believe that if and when the above things are evidenced in a Church, it will be a Spiritual and Godly Church where sinners can come to and be saved and all the believers will grow up into maturity.
Any Church that does not preach and teach the above things will not be a true Bible Believing Church.
