A Prayer of a Special Needs Mother

Our Family — with Levi as a boy
Yes, sometimes I feel like a mother with special needs — not just a son with special needs — and also going through in the natural pretty serious health trials, both me and my husband, but God knows how much we can handle!
I was blessed with a special needs son, who is now 52, when I was a child who had escaped my whole adolescence through 12 years of drugs.
Talk about having to grow up over night having to care for my son!
I thank The LORD for His Grace to even be able to think positive no matter how I feel!
A day approaches and I don’t know if I am ready for it — cooking, cleaning, caring for Levi, his behavior needing constant patience and having to die out to the need for peace and quiet to have my own thoughts and what I want to listen to.
I love him but he can be so noisy and constant!
LORD, allow me to jump into Your lap and embrace the freshness of Your breath, to hear Your heart beat, to know You are in control of all we go through working it all for our good.
One day I will look back and thank You for all the trying times for they prepare us for what is ahead.
I thank You even now for it al!! Amen.
I hope my posts can encourage even one person!

Yolanda Ballard of At The Father’s Feet website, shares with you, the body of Christ, the words she’s received quietly sitting at The Father’s feet. I believe Jesus set the example for us to follow. Whenever He could He would come apart from the busyness of the world so that He could quiet Himself before The Father, for that is where He received direction and strength to carry out His will.
Amen.
GOD BLESS you and your family.

You are a very special Mother. The LORD gave your son a beautiful gift and HE gave you the gifts of love, grace, peace and strength.
May I please ask prayers from you for an 11 year old boy named Luke?
He was airlifted to the hospital today. The doctor discovered meningitis in his brain stem. I’m requesting that you and anyone reading this to please pray for Luke, his family and his Doctor.
Thank you and may GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SON.

Very encouraging, yes! At 55, I just became a first time “mama” to a darling 11 year old boy that my husband and I took permanent guardianship over. He is loud, gets into just about everything, has nonstop energy, and a serious learning disability. He was just enrolled in school for the first time ever, and is learning his ABC’s. It is our hope that he will learn to read and write, and overcome his challenges…and grow up to do great things.
Peace and quiet? What’s that? Haha Oh, do I get it, about missing that precious commodity. No more quiet time with my Lord in the morning, til my heart’s content. Even now as I type he is rattling on about making play-doh pizza and eggs. And how, pray tell, can play-doh manage to find its way all through the house?!?!
May you rise up stronger, after running to be with Jesus for a while….
Thank you for sharing.
May our good God richly bless both you and your husband with tremendous healing in your body, and blessings upon blessings for loving and taking care of Levi, in Jesus Name.
Blessings peace and love to you and yours dear Yolanda.
Amen.
