A Summer of Consecration for the Bridal Company
Spring and Summer are popular seasons for weddings.
Since March, I have been seeing tiered cakes, beautiful flowers gathered for bridal bouquets and so many wedding gowns and wedding suits, all being made in preparation for this time, white, ivory and pastel colours, vivid tones, subdued shades, silks, cotton, wool, lace, long, short, full, slim, simple, ornate, traditional, modern and everything in between.
For many people, especially in the Northern hemisphere, June is the month above all others that is the most bridal.
This particular June is special. This June is sacred.
I am hearing all the Scripture we associate with marriage and weddings as well — Psalm 45, Song of Solomon, Isaiah 54, 1 Corinthians 13, Ephesians 5, The Book of Revelation and so many others.
In the Book of Esther 2, we learn how the young Jewish girl, Hadassah, in exile in Babylon, was chosen for the harem of King Xerxes.
She was already beautiful, but she was taken to the king’s harem where she was prepared further with a special diet and six months of treatment with oil of myrrh and then six more months of treatment with perfumes and cosmetics, to make her suitable for the king.
The LORD is pouring out His Spirit on His People,
- The oil of His Presence:
- His oil of cleansing;
- His oil of preparation and consecration;
- His oil that is fuel for the fire of His altar, where we burn for His glory alone.
This is going to be a Summer of Consecration for those who are willing and able to set aside time to seek The LORD and worship Him in the splendour of His holiness.
Some of us are already stepping into the breakthrough and answered prayer we have longed for.
But some of us are still so weary, waiting and waiting and waiting for His coming.
This is not because you have been forgotten.
This is the additional treatment to purify you and hone you into something very special for the King of Kings.
The LORD says, “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband — The LORD Almighty is His name — the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth!” (Isaiah 54:4-5)
As this kairos time opens up like a beautiful rose, the opposition is great.
The enemy seeks to delay you, wear you out or even knock you off course.
Stand firm! The LORD is near!
It is vital to stay rooted in Him and to cover yourselves and the wider Church in Prayer.
The LORD warned me recently of our need to form a protective force-field around each other. See: “The Enemy — Masquerading as Light“.
Individually as Warriors and Intercessors, we can be pockets of resistance, but together, we are a mighty Army, releasing Heaven on Earth!
This is where we must come to the foot of The Cross in all humility, and yield our hearts to Him.
This is where we lay ourselves out on the Altar in surrender as a living sacrifice as He burns away everything that is not of Him.
Soak in His Presence. Be drenched in His Anointing oil. Submit to His refining Fire.
Yield your hearts to Him. He is worthy.
The Bridegroom comes, and He comes for His beautiful, radiant Bride.
