The other day, I received a comment on one of my posts from a lady in New Zealand.

Two short phrases stood out to me. They almost screamed from my screen!

“On the edge of glory….” and “Point of no return.”

I responded with this, “How that sets my spirit alight!”

And it did SO — What is the Spirit revealing and saying to us?

On the edge of glory!

As I read this simple little phrase, my spirit jumped for joy and my mind became a jumble of pictures.

I saw the Glory Cloud hovering above us — smoke or cloud, thunder rolling, lightning flashing and crashing.

I saw the Glory roll like a living cloud into our meetings.

I saw the effects of the cloud of His Presence upon the people in the meeting.

I saw astonishing miracles, signs and wonders were breaking out all around the room and anywhere close by too — inside and outside the building.

The overwhelming thing was the brightness of the Glory shining all around the presence — almost as if expecting The LORD Himself to step through the cloud and into the room.

His Presence was so tangible and no single person could stand. Believers and non-believers alike were prostrate before Him, some silent in awe and wonder, and some crying out for mercy as if before The Throne of God.

I believe The LORD gave me a glimpse of the Glory coming wherever it will be received in a holy and reverential manner.

Point of no return

As I read this phrase I received by revelation of Holy Spirit a picture of us all walking together towards the Glory.

We passed a few side tracks and gates the led off elsewhere until we reached a signpost which pointed forward in the direction we were headed, and back to where we had come from.

Some were keen to move on, while others were both hesitant and disappointed. Disappointed that there was further to go, and hesitant to go further.

Some even wanted to turn back. Eventually, a smaller group of us took the decision to move forward and, even though we pressed the others to come with us, a few were left behind.

We started up the road. As we did we caught sight of the light from the Glory ahead of us.

As we did so, some turned to call to those we left behind — only to discover there was no way back to them as behind us was nothing but darkness.

I heard a quiet voice say, “You’ve passed the point of no return. You’re headed for the Glory!”

It was as if we had enacted the verse,

“The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.” Isaiah 9:2.

Then we came to the place where the Glory dwelt and we found ourselves in the presence of The LORD.

Altogether two amazing visions and all from a simple comment on a previous post — BUT WHY? is the real question!

I believe that what I have experienced and seen here is for our encouragement as we look forward with some trepidation to the coming season.

The world is dark, and getting darker. Much sin, once hidden from us, is now visible in plain sight to all who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

But God is still in control.

He is still using what the enemy intended for evil, for our good.

He still has a perfect plan for us and, in His way and His timing, He is bringing that plan to fruition.

These visions are for our encouragement. I believe they are pre-Revival visions rather than anything else.

I haven’t got my ‘rapture rug’ out yet because the great falling away isn’t finished, the great revival has barely started, and one or two other things like preaching the Gospel to every tribe and tongue, cannot be fully assessed or known by us.

We will not know when ‘the last gentile’ has been called in until the last trumpet sounds!

Yes, I believe this whole post is to encourage us to press in for the promised and much prophesied revival — which makes this A WORD FOR TODAY, and my spirit is on fire to see more!
