America was Never Great! — 4 Comments

  1. PRAISE GOD. THESE WORDS ARE HOLY GHOST INSPIRED/OPEN BIBLE WRITTEN WORDS.FATHER GOD I PRAY WE ALL GET ON ONE ACCORD IN UNITY AND SEEK YOUR FACE AND TURN OUR HEARTS BACK TO OUR FIRST TRUE LOVE.THE LOVER OF OUR SOULS.  (IT IS BETTER TO HEAR THE REBUKE OF THE WISE,THAN FOR A MAN TO HEAR THE SONG OF FOOLS..  Ecclesiastes 7:5 ) AMEN.

  2. Why do you keep posting this person?  Over and over his messages are full of rebuke.  This is not the Lord Jesus I know.

    • Dear Hope,
As the Word says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works,” 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

In the Bible, Rebuke and Reproof here, are translation of the same Greek word ἔλεγχος, elegchos, el’-eng-khos.

      Rebuke: (re·buke, rəˈbyo͞ok/)
      1. (Verb) express sharp disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions.
synonyms: reprimand, reproach, scold, admonish, reprove, chastise, upbraid, berate, take to task, criticize, censure.
      2. (noun) an expression of sharp disapproval or criticism.
synonyms: reprimand, reproach, reproof, scolding, admonishment, admonition, upbraiding, finger-wagging.

Reproof: (re·proof rəˈpro͞of) an expression of blame or disapproval.
Synonyms: rebuke, reprimand, reproach, admonishment, admonition; disapproval, censure, criticism, condemnation; informal dressing down.

Did not all Old Testament prophets rebuke?

Yes, we know it is hard to be on the receiving end of a corrective Word from the LORD, but that is the joy of correction for a Christian – to save us from ourselves.

We trust you understand why we stand in support of the Author, in his role as a prophet of the LORD, as he speaks reproof and correction to us.

      Blessings in Christ,
      Angus
