It’s your life, you control it, you make the decisions. You decide what you do. You can hold onto it and keep it. But if you keep it, it will remain alone.

All are exhorted to praise the Lord.  In fact, there is only just one category of people that do not praise the Lord.  You know who that is?  The dead.

So often we think of God as a stern and awesome person. It’s true; He is. But there is another side to His character; so tender, compassionate & condescending.

There’s a phrase there in those words that has always attracted me with a peculiar kind of attraction. It’s the phrase: the knowledge of the Holy One.

Nothing sorts out people more sharply or quickly than reaction to reproof and instruction. If one gets angry when he is reproved or instructed, he is a mocker.
