Awaken Tender Leaves!
Awaken tender leaves
Awake from your deep sleep
Stretch out and open your eyes
Stretch out even more to the sky
Soak in the sun and feel its warmth
Soak in the LORD’s goodness forevermore
Grow and grow
Sing and sing
Let new songs rise up to the King
And give Him all the glory
Tender leaves fill up branches
Bursting out like fireworks one after another
Top to bottom, a wondrous canopy
Soon to be shade for grass and beasts
Soon to be shelter for nesting birds
Soon to be a refuge in the hot days of summer
Grow and grow
Sing and sing
Let new songs rise up to the King
And give Him all the glory
Oh the newness of the season—
So fresh, so soft, so green!
Those leaves once again are singing in the wind!
Clapping for joy across the hills and valleys
Their voices rising in harmony with the rest of His creation
Sparkling deeper and greener than any emerald
Grow and grow
Sing and sing
Let new songs rise up to the King
And give Him all the glory!
So awaken tender leaves

You, tender leaves of Spring are filled with His Glory!
You, tender leaves of Spring spread joy and new beginnings!
So awaken, awaken from your deep sleep!
Grow and grow
Sing and sing
Let new songs rise up to the King
And give Him all the glory!

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1 NKJV.
“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,” Psalm 92:12-14 NKJV.
“God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us, Selah” Psalm 67:1 NKJV.
