Cast All Your Anxiety
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NASB) emphasis added
Dear Ones: Cast All Your Anxiety!
Does this really say that we can cast away our anxiety, worry, and apprehension onto The LORD?
Yes, it does!
I have tested it out and proven it true in my own life. We are only operating in a small portion of Christ’s victory through The Cross.
He actually gave us the right to exercise His victory over all the forces of darkness. Anxiety is one of them; it is an offspring of fear.
It is important to understand that verse six is a prerequisite for verse seven. When we humble ourselves to obey the Master’s commands, we acknowledge His preeminence over our lives.
That enables us to cast all of our cares onto His shoulders because in humble obedience we recognize His authority in our lives.
He does not exercise His authority over us like a taskmaster does.
“Confirms the way the Master exercises His authority over us. “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NASB.
Declare: “I will obey the command to cast all your cares upon Him.
In Him I find rest for my soul.
I Declare my mind an anxiety free zone as I exercise His Authority over such thoughts.
Thank You, LORD, that You desire to carry my cares, and I am no longer burdened under them.
Praise, Your Holy Name!”
Have a blessed and carefree weekend in Jesus’ Name.
