Those who would live a life devoted to righteousness or godliness will be persecuted. When you are compassionate, others are callous in heart, then strike out.

Read Romans 10:9… “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

The Apostle Paul writes that without Christ and the help of His wonderful, enabling Spirit, he cannot fight this battle alone.  And us?

There’s an attack Satan uses to keep us from our destinies: getting us to die too much by overreacting to our sin. It kills passion, even God-given passion.

According to at least two scripture references here already, these are going to have to be led by the Spirit and they are going to have to also be peacemakers.
