Testimony has to be the most powerful tool we possess when it comes to reaching the hearts of others and telling of Jesus’ love for them.
Jesus comes to life in our testimonies.
His loving kindness and fierce mercy are truly revealed when we demonstrate how they saved us.
Consider God – the Maker of Stars
Looking up at a starry sky, it’s hard not to be in awe of what our eyes behold.
Before us, there are millions of points of light. Yet what we are looking at is so far away that we cannot even begin to capture its brilliance.
Imagine now that you were taken within a thousand miles of one of these stars, many of which are brighter and more powerful than our sun.
Coming that close to such an incredible force would surely be more than we could handle.
Now consider God in this context.
The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 13:12, “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
We have seen but a glimpse of His glory. That star, which by our perception is just a speck of light in the distance, is in fact more brilliant and powerful than our minds can conceive.
Consider for a moment the maker of the stars. He has created billions that we know of and yet as we are just discovering them, He has named each and every one.
How much more brilliant is the Creator than His creation?
Yet He sent His glorious Son, Christ Jesus to be the light of this world.
Because of Him someday we will stand face to face with brilliance beyond our wildest imagination and only then will we know as we have been fully known.
