Don’t Hold Back!
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Don’t Hold Back!
Oh You are my God, my rock
My everlasting Love
Don’t hold out on me
Don’t hold back Your Passion
Your Love and Truth are all that keeps me together!
In this day and age
When the enemy roams about like a lion
Don’t abandon me
Don’t forsake me
Your Wisdom and Knowledge keep me together!
Oh LORD give me strength
To keep on keeping on
Oh LORD give me Hope
To keep on keeping on
For the promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for Your People
In this journey I take
I might get tired or weary
I might get discouraged or off track
But I won’t drop out and give up on You
Because each step I take You are with me
You, Yourself are rest
And I can come to You anytime
To recharge and reset
You are my God, my rock
Oh LORD give me strength
To keep on keeping on
Oh LORD give me Hope
To keep on keeping on
For the promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for Your People
Help me tune out distractions
Help me focus on You even more
So much so that I won’t hold back
Anything of me to give You!
Your Love and Truth are all that keeps me together!
Oh LORD give me strength
To keep on keeping on
Oh LORD give me Hope
To keep on keeping on
For the promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for Your People
I keep on keeping on
I keep on keeping on
Oh LORD You are my God, my rock
My everlasting Love…
Don’t hold back
I keep on keeping on
I keep on keeping on
Oh LORD You are my God, my rock
My everlasting Love…
Don’t hold back
Your Love and Truth are all that keeps me together!
“Now God, don’t hold out on me, don’t hold back your passion. Your love and truth are all that keeps me together. When troubles ganged up on me, a mob of sins past counting, I was so swamped by guilt I couldn’t see my way clear. More guilt in my heart than hair on my head, so heavy the guilt that my heart gave out.” Psalm 40:11 MSG.
“And so this is still a live promise. It wasn’t canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn’t keep renewing the appointment for “today.” The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9-11 MSG.
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13.

Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Gabrielle, thank you for this Word. It sure speaks to me today.
Blessings.
Dear Jennifer, you are very much welcome. Here is one more scripture that has recently become my favorite:
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11
God bless your Jennifer with His Strength and Peace!
