Eating at Altars of Defilement Will Demonically Distort Your Vision
As a War Room, The LORD has led us in recent days through a Word given to one of the Leaders in the War Room, to spend the next 21 days undertaking a Daniel Fast — and alongside the Fast, an Instruction to work through the 12 Chapters of Daniel.
This morning, 1 July 2025, we started our Fast and our Daily Prayer and Study Charge.
I felt impressed to share the following with you all. This is what I posted on our War Room to our Mighty Warriors and I pray you take something from it.
Morning all! Excited by how The LORD is leading us, and I’m looking forward to the next 21 days as we all go deeper.
Today our reading starts with Daniel Chapter 1. If you bear with me, I wanted to share a quick but powerful prophetic observation that came to me this morning.
As I began to read, Daniel 1:8 struck me,
“Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself.”
As I read those words, I saw a Mystery unfold. A Mystery that connects what we “EAT” with what and How we “SEE”!
I submit Daniel had revelation from God that was far beyond the natural realm. Daniel had deep spiritual understanding of the power and favour of God that rested upon his life, because he had “Consecrated himself unto God” — “Daniel purposed in his heart” — that he would not become a partaker of the King’s delicacies.
Furthermore, I submit beyond Daniel honouring the laws of Moses in what he ate, I believe Daniel had supernatural knowledge of a Spiritual Mystery, where his “Spiritual Sight was intrinsically connected to what he Consumed/ Ate!”
Keep in mind — everything is spiritual!
It’s interesting to Note here:
The Kings Table : Prophetically, Tables are more often representative of Altars.
So in essence, Daniel was not simply refusing to eat at the King’s Table — but Daniel, seeing everything with the Lens of the Prophetic — I submit, Daniel refused to EAT from the ALTAR where food and drink was offered up as Sacrifices to foreign gods and the idols that sat upon those Altars.
Daniel knew by the Spirit, that if he had to partake of the food of that Altar, his Sight/ Vision would become distorted.
A door — through the consumption of the King’s delicacies — would give the spirit of deception an access point to influence Daniel’s life.
While working in the Sports Industry for many years, we had a saying; “You are what you eat” — and while that may be true in many ways in the natural — it certainly carries powerful Spiritual and Prophetic Truth@
I believe Daniel had deep revelation of the Mysteries of Altars.
Daniel was living in the midst of a Babylonian culture that celebrated Idol Worship and sacrifice to other gods, which would have brought a veil of great darkness and deception over the eyes and minds of the people.
Daniel knew that as a Prophet of God, that his Sight/ Vision was vital to his Prophetic mandate being fulfilled in that pivotal time.
I think it so interesting that in the very first chapter of Daniel, we see the demonic assignment of Satan unfolding, and it’s all about an assignment against Vision — an assignment to distort Daniel’s Vision and Spiritual Sight: “If I can just get Daniel to EAT at the Altar of defilement — I can gain access to effect and influence what he SEES!” Wow!
I won’t continue to ramble — but as I meditated on this unfolding Mystery and I could share more in time.
I asked The Holy Spirit to confirm what I was seeing with a Prophetic Parallels and the first thing I heard the Spirit quicken to me was;
”Taste and see that The LORD is good!” (Psalm 34:8)
Jesus, after breaking bread and giving it to two disciples on the road to Emmaus, “Caused their eyes to be opened” and they recognised Him! (Luke 24:30-31)
“Blessed are the PURE IN HEART for they will SEE God,” Matthew 5:8.
Jesus says in no uncertain terms: “Eat me,” and you shall have LIFE. So, whoever eats me will live because of me.” (John 6:53-58)
“This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:58.

The Mystery of Vision is powerfully connected to “Consecration and Purity.”
What we Behold we Become — we are what we EAT, both Naturally and more importantly, spiritually.
Just as Daniel resolved not to partake of the King’s delicacies, we too must be discerning about the spiritual “food” we are ingesting — what Altars are we eating at!
As a Seer, I am always guarding the gateways, because it powerfully impacts what I SEE!
In this woke culture, saturated with demonic distractions and so many false teachings and mixed waters, we must be circumspect, guarding our hearts and minds against demonic influences that would seek to distort our VISION and distract us from our God-given Purpose!
“Where there is NO VISION, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18.
The Call to Consecration in the next 21 Days — is an invitation to examine our lives and ask:
Are we feasting at Altars that draw us closer to Christ….
or those that lead us astray into confusion and compromise and a distortion of Vision?
In this season, there is a Clarion Call to seek Him through a deeper place of Consecration.
The Holy Spirit quickens the words of Paul in Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind!”
This renewal is a direct reflection of what we allow into our lives — what we WATCH, what we READ, and what we choose to ENGAGE with in our daily routines!
Our Spiritual Vision is the gateway to the Supernatural Breakthrough and Promotion, Preservation and Provision!
Our Spiritual Vision will guide and instruct our actions, our decisions, and ultimately shape our Kingdom Identity and Destiny!
And lastly….
Just like Daniel, we must become intentional and purposeful in our pursuit and commitment to a Lifestyle of purity without compromise!
As we draw near to God, He promises to draw near to us! (James 4:8)
The more we Consume — eat of The Living Word — our Spiritual Vision will become clearer!
It will bring Divine Alignment, enabling us to truly discern His Will in the midst of chaos!

Amen, and thank you! This is a very powerful insight to the spiritual realm. I thought of Adam and Eve. She ATE it, … and he ATE it. Then the EYES of both of them were OPENED … (Genesis 3:6-7) Well, open to the wrong realm.

So True a Word you bring to us. It’s even wise to inquire of the Lord for a safe place before we go out to eat. The things we watch, the materials we read and the conversations can open us up the mixture that exist in them.

Sometimes we don’t even realize that there is compromising going on until Holy Spirit points it out. Fascinating teaching. I would love to hear more of what is revealed to you through this fast and Daniel study.
Many years ago while God prepared me for my task in Him, He said that a blanket of darkness (anarchy) and islamification was drawing over South Africa, but if the nation learns to walk Isaiah 58
(not preach or teach but walk in it’s directives). He would break open the bread basket prophecies spoken over our country, and He would raise up Daniels to stear us through it. I’m finally maturing more and understanding why Daniel. But your insights bring additional revelation. Thank you so much. God’s richest blessings.
