So today I got up extra early, as I had an important appointment. 

I got dressed, packed my things and was just about to walk out the door and get into the car when I received a message saying everything had suddenly been…. postponed!

Now years ago, my immediate response would have been annoyance, frustration, or maybe even anger…  but today there was perfect Peace!

My immediate response was simply, “Thanksgiving!”

And dare I say…. I noticed a little Spiritual growth, which I was also thankful to The LORD for… a Win!

You see Friends, I have learned — though I hate to admit it — and often the hard way — in recent years, through the Wisdom and Counsel of God, that I do not live my life according to chronological time alone!

When I gave my life to Christ, I stepped outside of natural time and entered into a different dimension of Time….

I entered into Kairos Time!

Kairos Time : Ancient Greeks used the word kairos for this, and it means “time” or “season” by definition, but kairos is more than mere time.  It’s like a perfect moment, a special, opportune time — one seemingly designed just for “this,” whatever “this”…  ^©crosswalk.com

So now I seek to live my days according to God’s Appointed times and Seasons….

I have learned that as long as ‘Self’ remains upon the throne, I will never fully understand The LORDship of Jesus Christ.

The message of The Kingdom is radical, because it dethrones the self and Enthrones Christ…

While ‘self is still king, then Christ is not yet be LORD — and if He is not LORD of ALL, then He is NOT Lord at all…

No longer am I governed by time in the same way I once was.  (Now, let’s not get this twisted!  Punctuality matters….)

Honouring time is part of walking in a Spirit of Excellence, so let’s stay grounded and balanced!

But, I have learned that there is a difference between being responsible with Time and being ruled by Chronos Time.

Recently, I had a beautiful conversation with some friends who shared a powerful testimony.

Late one evening they felt The LORD instruct them to go to a hilltop near their home and blow the shofar.

The LORD had spoken to them that on the way, He would bring two people who really needed encouragement and a Word from Heaven.

Immediately their minds were confronted by Chronological Time….  ”But It’s too late!  There probably won’t be anyone there!  This doesn’t make sense!”

Yet, Faith responded and Obedience set the stage where human reasoning caused them to hesitate….

We shared how God’s Appointed Time was maybe late into the evening, when the likelihood of anyone being on that hill was remote.

The Appointed Time of God did not match the Chronos Time, and therein lay the real test!

It required Faith and Obedience to step into the Kairos and believe that God’s Timeline was perfect and would meet the unusual Moment.

Had they allowed natural reasoning to prevail in that situation, they would never have gone.

Had they bowed to the pressure and limitations of earthly time, they would have missed an incredible Divine Encounter altogether.

But Faith did respond where logic tried to hinder them, and Heaven proved once again that God’s timing is always perfect.

And sure enough, exactly as God had spoken, though the hour was late, two people were there — and Divine Encounters took place and God moved powerfully and lives were forever impacted!   🔥Hallelujah!

Hence we continued talking about God’s Appointed Times versus Chronological Time, and how we often miss divine opportunities sent by God because we are so conditioned to think according to natural schedules — natural probabilities and our natural understanding and expectations!

More times than not, we actually talk ourselves out of Faith.  We are disobedient and miss extraordinary supernatural encounters that impact Eternity and Destinies.

Even as I write this, I think of Lazarus.  Wow!  What a powerful parallel of Kairos versus Chronos.

From a human perspective, Jesus was VERY late!  The clock had run out, opportunity had surely passed, and with a dead body now stinking, any remote Hope appeared buried in a tomb forever.

Yet — had Jesus been governed by earthly urgency, or by His Friend’s timetable, the manifestation of Resurrection Power would never have been revealed.

Possibly another miracle — but certainly not a Sign and Wonder that foreshadowed the coming of His own Resurrection and the Eternal Hope of ours!

Thankfully, Jesus was never moved by  urgency — never once pressured by panic or anger — or doubt.  He was never manipulated by the expectations of men!

He only moved according to The Father’s timing and The Father’s Perfect Will and Plan…

What may have looked like delay on earth was actually perfect timing in Heaven being made manifest.

The longer I journey with God, the more I am amazed by the simplicity of the Gospel.  So much of our struggles comes from the ‘SELF’ remaining upon the throne.

And as long as Self sits and rules…there is always going to be striving, frustration, confusion and chaos.

We will continually attempt to make things happen according to our own understanding and strength, and in doing so we will continue to miss the very Timing of God!

The Invitation of The Kingdom is to fully relinquish the throne of Self and Surrender completely to The LORDship of Christ.

• For when He Rules — Perfect Peace reigns!
• When He Governs — then all fear and anxiety loses its power…
• When He Leads — then even what can be seen as delays becomes Divine Set ups and Supernatural Appointments!

Why am I sharing this?

Because I sense in this hour, as we move through a Time of Divine Transition, many of us are going to be facing sudden “Changes of plans,” sudden and unexpected detours, sudden postponed opportunities and situations that seem delayed, and the enemy will seek to bring disappointment and double mindedness that will effect our Faith and rob us of Gods Blessing!

We must Resist this Assignment of Satan and stay on High Ground — ready to move as He Instructs!

🔥  Trust The Plan

I hear these Words,  ”Trust the Plan!  Hold the Line — and advance in Faith!”

We must stay in Peace — for when we commit our way to The LORD, He WILL direct our paths!

Let’s choose daily to yield our plans, our expectations, our timetable, and our agendas to Him!

Let’s seek to live according to God’s Appointed Times; God’s Perfect Timing — and God’s Sovereign Leading!

Our responsibility is not to control the timing.  Our Calling is to simply Trust and Obey.

Today I will seek to walk in higher levels of Discernment and sensitivity to the Voice of The Holy Spirit, so that when the enemy does try to alter the Timing of God, and/or bring distractions or delay or try to pull me out of Divine Alignment with God’s purposes, I am Armed and Battle Ready to respond in The Spirit of Wisdom and Might and in The Spirit of The Fear of The LORD.

Warriors, we must willing to step down from the throne and allow Christ to take His rightful place as Commander and Chief, and when we begin to live from the Realm of Surrender and Obedience where the Glory resides — where He Rules supreme — then we are Empowered to Reign Victoriously with Him according to His Appointed Times and Seasons.

And It’s from this place that what we would have once called a delay, is now seen as God’s Divine positioning and a Supernatural Course Correction.

What once would have appeared to be yet another closed door, is actually Heaven’s Mercy redirecting your steps towards a greater Breakthrough…

And… for what always seemed like endless interruptions, is actually a Divine Invitation into a deeper Encounter that will lead to the Fulfillment of Destiny.

So …..,

• Guard your hearts in this Hour of Suddenlies and Unexpected Course Corrections.
• Do not become frustrated by the sudden changing of plans.
• Do not allow Fear or Anxiety or Doubt or Unbelief to govern your Response and cause you to React in the flesh.
• Go higher!  Stay low and yielded!  Stay Watchful!  Stay Obedient — and you will not only Reap the Rewards — but take home the Spoils.

I submit, those who truly walk with God will not not be Governed by the clock on the wall, but by the Voice of the One who holds Time itself in His Hands!

They have learned to trust His Timing, to understand that His Delays are not denials, and to recognise that when He orchestrates a sudden detour.

It is not a mistake — but a Divine Redirection — and a demonstration of His Grace!

I believe that the greatest Act of Faith is not learning how to try and control Time, but listening and learning how to Trust, Surrender and Obey the One Who holds Time and Eternity in His Hands!
