Guarding Against the Absalom Spirit That Births Division and Destruction
Recently I have been praying concerning the deadly effects of the Absalom Spirit, and how it can so easily infiltrate the work of Ministry.
Being led to look closely at the story of Absalom, it has opened my eyes to many things hidden in darkness.
The aftermath of Absalom’s rebellion left a trail of destruction and broken relationships. The casualties were not only in the physical sense — but also in the spiritual and emotional sense as families were torn apart, friendships were shattered, and trust was forever lost.
The Absalom spirit continues its deadly work even today as it seeks to divide and conquer, using the pain and rejection of individuals to fuel its agenda.
It preys on those who feel overlooked or unheard, whispering sweet words of sympathy and understanding.
Slowly but surely, it turns them against the very leaders whom God has appointed over them, to help them grow, thrive and rise.
In ministries and even in businesses, this spirit seeks to advance by sowing seeds of lies and betrayal. It thrives on people’s pride and desires for name, power and position, manipulating them into believing that their own ambitions and agendas are more important than following God’s ordained order.
This breeds rebellion and disobedience, leading to conflict, chaos and ultimately the destruction of many Destinies.
But, dare I say, just as Absalom met his downfall through his own pride, so too will those who align themselves with those who are operating under the influence of this powerful demonic spirit.
The consequences of their actions are not limited to their own lives; but they ripple out and affect everyone around them.
Lives are shattered, dreams are crushed, visions are weakened and eventually negated — and the Kingdom of God suffers violence and loss.
Friends, to guard against the influence of the Absalom spirit, it is crucial to pray fervently and examine our hearts regularly, to keep short accounts with God, to examine our hearts daily in the light of the Gospel where there is no condemnation — but where The Fear of The LORD can bring conviction, repentance and change.
We must cultivate a lifestyle posture of humility and submission before God and the authorities of those He has placed over us. Honoring and respecting God-ordained authority is not a suggestion, but it’s a commandment.
Obedience is better than Sacrifice!
We must also seek purity in our thoughts, motives, and actions. Power rests on the foundation of Purity — and Purity guards us against the allure of power and the temptation to betray and deceive others.
Purity keeps our hearts aligned with God’s Will, and it protects us from becoming casualties of the Absalom spirit and all of its satanic trappings.
Let us be Watchful, Sober, Vigilant and Discerning in this hour, being sensitive to the subtle manifestations of this Spirit.
Let us be those who have the ability to recognise the tactics of this deadly spirit.
Let us choose to walk in Humility, Honor and Obedience, seeking only to build up and unite as One Body, rather than being one who contributes to the tearing down of others that brings division.
Only then can we truly safeguard ourselves and those around us in our God-given sphere of influence, from the destructive effects of the Absalom spirit!

As I read your comment, pornography came to mind. It opens the door to the same destructive forces that inflicted David and his family. It violates trust and can spell death for marriages.
Let’s pray:
Lord God, I pray that you will bring a great cleansing to the Body of Christ in the area of porn and any immorality attached to similar perversion.
I pray that you will awaken both men and women and especially teenagers to the evil that operates from behind these doors.
I pray Holy God that people will be careful about the “little things” that pop up on TV without warning.
Please help us be strong and enable us to protect one another from the darkness that is infiltrating so many areas in our society.
Only by your blood are we cleansed and only through your Spirit can we be awakened, informed and empowered to not just talk the talk but to walk the walk of holiness that you have called us into.
Help us Lord.
Expose evil in our lives and in our midst, not to bring condemnation or destruction, but in order to bring deliverance and healing.
Help churches and church leaders and parents to know what to do to help people stay free and to get free.
We hand all of this up to you Lord.

Leaders need correcting and the mess and apostasy in the church is there because our leaders abuse that trust so many put in them . We have to be very sensitive to correction. And we also ask god to give women a proper deferment of how men think. Or often appear leaders think there office and speacial relationship with God gives them special license to label open rebuke as an attack of Satan. It’s very disappointing that this is often overlooked when discussing the absolum spirit.

This is the way I see what you posted. Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
All mankind came from Adam’s fallen, 666, beastly man’s spirit nature, so there is no Absalom or Jezebel spirit or any other kind of spirit but Adam’s fallen, 666, beastly, man’s spirit that has caused all the trouble in the world. No one likes to take the blame for their own actions and put the blame on something or someone else instead of where it truly comes from our fallen sinful Adamic spirit nature that we are to resist.
I found that the root influence of Absaloms desire for his sister started with his father’s adultery and murder of Basheba’s husband. We men particularly are very susceptible to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If David had not been on his roof at the time women were bathing he would of not of been tempted… As a consequence of Davids peeping tommery and subsequent failure when faced with temptation – his sin was in full sight of everybody… this must have had a profound effect on his sons and family. We fathers have to set the right example the best thing to say to sin is NO. Sin is at the door we must be its master or it will master us.
Amnon’s desire for his sister, not Absalom. And yes, many people tend to (conveniently) overlook the fact that it was David’s sin that led to all this chaos. Amnon’s depravity and Absalom’s rebellion were direct results of David’s perversion – see 2 Samuel 12:9-12.
David isn’t Jesus, but some quarters of the church lift him up as if he was – I might be going off topic here.
All that you said about Absolum & David came about by Adam’s sin, falling away from God and sin passed to all mankind.

May we neither rebel in any way, against the Lord’s leadership, whether directly or through others, nor by the same token, yield to any other spiritual authority but the Lord’s and never allow any other being to eclipse our direct sovereignty-stream between Himself and everyone’s singular being. We have earthly leaders for earthly organization and operations for whatever fleeting time periods. We have only one spiritual leader, so be it and this is an eternal and ultimate constant. (Satan seeks to apply Jezebel’s rebellion, plus the restrictive, authoritarian religious spirit virtually in tandem.)
