How to win a lost man to Christ, or a lost woman?

There are some who say something like this: “There are many ways to get to God….”

Many years ago I was living in japan and was visiting the famous Buddhist landmark called The Giant Buddha.

This huge and tall Buddha was made from sheet metal, and the center of the Buddha was hollow.

A door was open. so tourist could walk into the huge Buddha to see the interior. Once inside the large room, there was a table set up with literature about the Buddhist Religion, and behind the table was a Buddhist monk.

Immediately he wanted to talk to me, so he ask me, “Have you ever heard of Buddha?”

To that question I answered as truthfully as I could, yes, but, I believe that Jesus Christ is the way for men to be saved.

“Oh, that is fine,” he came back, “you can believe that and still go to God. You see, there are many ways for a man to go to God.”

“Is that so?” I said, “I heard it the opposite way — there is only one way to know to God and that way is the Jesus way.”

“You see,” I said, “Jesus said, “I AM The Way, I AM The Truth, and I AM The Life — no man comes to The Father— except by Me.”” (John 14:6)

To this he just shook his head and smiled, “I understand different and I believe when you consider the question longer and search you will find there are many ways to come to The Father.”

He went on to say then, “there is one God — and many ways to that God.”

Do you believe that?

If you do, then you may not be saved and on your way to God yourself, because, if you truly believe that, then just want was it you did, by believing in Jesus Christ?

Many today do not know that there is only one way to be saved and go to God when you die. And, they do not have to be of some foreign religion like Buddhism!

Let me now explain further just what any person must do to be saved and die and go to be with God.

First

First, a person must know why they need to be saved, or why they are lost and not going to God.

That first reason is made plain by The Scripture of The Bible, which states that all men everywhere are lost without God.

“….. both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; as it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Romans 3:9-12.

Notice it says:

• both Jews and Gentiles [all men] are under sin, or sinners!
• none were righteous. No, not one!
• none understands!
• none seeks after God!
• all are gone out of the way!
• all are unprofitable
• one do good, no, not one!

I believe that above Scriptures cover all the bases so to speak.

It leaves no room for any man to claim he can be saved within himself and in his life.

All men are lost and the scripture declares: “You must be saved….” if all men are then lost and none are righteous, and none who even understand they need to seek God, then all men are unprofitable to God.

If there are absolutely who that do good things or works, then there are none who are saved or can even do good works.

Second

We then must go further, to tell you The Scriptures clearly tell us how all men became sinners.

That is right, all men became sinners.

Consider this Scripture:

“By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12b.

Sin entered or came into the world.

How…..?

It says by “One man”

It says then that because of what that one man did, death passed upon all men.

And because death passed upon all men then we hear: “All have sinned” — like that one man.

A careful study of this Scripture will prove that Adam was the one man who sinned, and because he did sin, then all men became sinners.

Sin is “In Adam”. Thus, the reason men are sinners is because they are like Adam — Sinners!

Men can try and do all things, yet they cannot change the fact they are like Adam — and they are sinners!

The Fact is: men do sinful things because they are sinners like Adam.

The things that are done only reflect what is in their heart and life, and that thing is sin. It is then their nature to sin like Adam.

In order then for a man to be saved he must be saved from “Adam’s sin nature” passed down upon him.

• How does one change his nature?
• Can a man change his nature by reform or by trying to do good?
• Can a man change who he is?

Of course he cannot!

Men cannot change the fact they are born sinners after the likeness of Adam.

So then how can a man be saved from sin?

The only way a lost sinner can be saved and become right with God is by The Blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for sin (the sin of Adam).

When one realizes the reason he is lost — and that he literally is lost without any means or hope, then that one can understand why that Jesus Christ had to die for sinners to be saved.

A man must then first understand he is a sinner — and why.

Then, he will be able to understand that salvation is only by Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ died to save sinners, and by His Blood they are forgiven and cleansed.

By the Atoning work of Jesus Christ for sinners, men are saved.

When one fully knows they are sinners, they will seek the savior who did die for them so that they can be saved from sin!

See the following Scriptures which will back up all the statements made above, and one will fully understand that Salvation is then from Jesus Christ, the one who died for sinners.

If men who are sinners, find and receive Jesus Christ, then they become a child of God, born-again and forgiven of their sins.

“…. but not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the Grace of God, and the gift by Grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5:15-19.

Adam sinned — and all became sinners!

Jesus died — and those who believe in him are saved and forgiven!

Salvation then, is Jesus Christ!

Jesus Christ is then, “The Only way to be saved” and there is no other way for men to come to God!
