If I Regard Iniquity?
I heard The LORD say, “If I regard Iniquity…?
My People are storing unclean things in their hearts like a freezer — preserving sin.
Children why do you do these things? The heart is easily compounded with sin.”
“If I regard iniquity in my heart, The LORD will not hear Me.” Psalm 66:18.
“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” Proverbs 28:26 KJV.
“Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith The LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.” Jeremiah 18:11-12 KJV.
“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” James 1:26 KJV.
“Food is made to pass through the body. Children your bodies are not made to store a whole cow.”
“And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” Mark 7:18-23 KJV.
“Stop holding on to things that you need to let go. Trust Me for your needs and wants.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:8 KJV.
“And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which The LORD hath given you to eat. This is the thing which The LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. “I tell you the dangers of sin.
The heart has to process or pump blood.
It’s job is challenged when many things are weighty.
The heart has to work with the liver and kidneys, which are all filtering mechanisms.
If one organ is overloaded, it shifts part of the load to another organ. The body becomes unbalanced because all the organs are overloaded. Then, everything is shifted to the heart.
The heart has process chambers that automatically stores things it cannot process.”
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I The LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV.
“It is likened unto washing dirty clothes. All the dirty clothes may not fit into one wash cycle.
The other dirty clothes have to wait their turn for washing. Dirty clothes do not automatically jump into the washer.”
“Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.” Psalm 51:9-11 KJV.
“When a person allows dirt and filth to pile up it has no immediate outlet.
Children I have seen you put extra detergent into washers for unusually dirty clothes.
This sometimes results in a spill over. The added soap has no value to the clothes because it flows outside the washer.
Natural soap has no power over sin.”
“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.” Psalm 51:5-7 KJV.
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 KJV.
“Let your hearts do it’s work naturally. Do not over load the place of My love. Sin is not meant to stay in the heart.”
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving The LORD; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:9-18 KJV.
“People the heart is a place I created to hold My Love. Let your hearts be cleansed with the word of righteousness.
Bear good fruit in your hearts!”
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:19-26 KJV.
“Children, do not store iniquity in your hearts!
The heart has enough work to do. Combine Faith with Truth and Righteousness and iniquity shall leave the heart.
When you pray out of a sinful heart and there is no repentance, your prayers pile up like dirty clothes until they go through the wash.”
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10 KJV
God is listening to our hearts conversation and not liking what He is hearing. Be the bigger you by coming into Godly repentance.
Godly sorrow is so much different than shame. S hame has a way of putting people in the darkness of pride.
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1 KJV.
Sometime when I eat food it spills on my clothes. I may never see the stain until laundry time.
Certainly, I want the grease spot removed because it takes away from the beauty of the garment.
I have come to realize that the stain on the outside is minimal.
Outward appearances are nothing compared to the stain of sin that hides in my heart.
I thank God for Jesus who washes away the stain of sin.
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22 KJV.
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of The LORD Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV.
Iniquity is a serious offense for a Christian. The LORD reminds that we must not allow this dirt to pile up in our hearts.
Iniquity is equal to premeditated murder — a plan to cause violence and unfair wickedness.
The plan involves not getting caught but being fully aware of consequences if caught.
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:12-13 KJV.
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,” Romans 5:17-20 KJV.
The LORD shows us that we have reserves in the heart. These chambers are designed to store His love.
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18 KJV.
“Therefore, in the named of Jesus we declare “Iniquity” as clinically dead. We will not attach it to any life support system. Father, I repent of giving space in my heart to iniquity.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The LORD will not hear me: but verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.” Psalm 66:18-20 KJV.
