Isaiah 43: A Lesson and A Prophecy
A History lesson, and a Prophecy, from Isaiah 43.
This is a Word for all those who would have Renewal, Revival, and a fresh Awakening.
There is much debate and opinion, at the moment, as to the shape, size, and form of the coming move of Holy Spirit among us.
‘What’s it going to look like? How will we recognise it when it finally arrives?’ appear to be the burning questions of the moment.
Well, The Bible, as ever, gives us some clues — if we look at Isaiah 43:18-25 with Holy Spirit guiding us.
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” Isaiah 43:18
The LORD is not going to look at previous revivals for His plans for the coming revival.
The methods and values of those days are surpassed by the technology and values of the 21st century world.
Yes, today’s world has its faults, but that is the framework within which The LORD must work today. So The LORD says –
“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
How many times must The LORD Declare this, before His People will believe it and receive it?
This coming move of God by His Holy Spirit will be completely different from anything seen before. Those who have set themselves up as guardians, or who have positioned themselves to repeat history, have not heard from The LORD.
They have made their own plans, based on their own ‘requirements and expectations’, without once having consulted with The LORD.
They have planned everything based on events long since past, and worse, they have expected The LORD to honour their wishes, rather than them honouring and obeying His wishes.
“But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel. You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices;” Isaiah 43:22
Here is The LORD’s complaint — His charge against the church today.
“You have not consulted Me; you have not honoured Me nor even acknowledged Me for all that I have done for you; and you have withheld every sacrifice or gift from Me!”
“But you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities.” Isaiah 43:24
“Further,” says The LORD, “you have not repented of your wicked ways, neither have you turned from your sins. You have grieved Me — seriously grieved Me!” says God.
YET — YET — YET
“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:25
“Yet!” says The LORD, “I remember My covenant with your forefathers, and with you, and IF you turn to Me once more, even now, THEN, I will forgive a contrite heart, and I will restore your land with the revival and awakening for which My Remnant prophets, My intercessors, and others have been praying so earnestly!”
That’s surely good news worth praising and praying about, isn’t it?
That’s Isaiah 43:18-19,22,24-25 NKJV

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.

and My people upon whom My Name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land.
