Journey Through Life
2 Words in 1
You are to Shine
“Be glad you can do the things you should be doing. Do all things without arguing and talking about how you wish you did not have to do them. In that way, you can prove yourselves to be without blame. You are God’s children and no one can talk against you, even in a sin-loving and sin-sick world. You are to shine as lights among the sinful people of this world.” Philippians 2:14-15 NLV.
Dear Ones: You are to Shine!
Oh my! Paul tells us that we are to do things without grumbling or complaining.
“Lord, help us. We need Your grace to thwart the vicious cycle of mummering.”
It is a soulish kneejerk reaction to strike back when people talk against us unfairly. Gossips gossip and enjoy destroying the reputation of others.
Sadly, these types of incidents also happen among pew-sitters.
Shine the Light of Love
But you are to shine with the light of His presence.
In John 13:34-35, NLT, the Master instructs us.
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
It is the light of His love pouring in you and out through you that changes the atmosphere around you.
Begin to release His presence wherever you go.
This is a good way to thwart the vicious cycle of mummering that wants to destroy your Christian witness to other.
Declare:
“Help me, LORD, to follow Paul’s instructions: You are to Shine!
I choose to obey the Master’s call to love those who talk against me unfairly.
As I release the atmosphere of heaven in these times, I know that You will deal with those who are slandering me.
I ask for Your Grace to continue to follow you in a blameless manner.
It is a good day to lean on Your broad shoulders as I go through this valley.
Praise The LORD!”
Have a day filled with the Light of His Love. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
Journey Through Life
“How happy are those who have learned how to praise You; those who journey through life by the light of Your face. Every hour of the day, they rejoice at the sound of Your name. They are lifted up and encouraged by Your righteousness.” Psalm 89:15-16 VOICE.
Dear Ones: Journey through Life!
As we travel the timeline of our life, we are not alone.
The LORD is our constant companion. In fact, the light of His face guides our way so that the darkness cannot overwhelm us.
His mere presence lifts our spirits and encourages us.
However, the requirement for this happy condition is to learn how to praise The LORD wholeheartedly.
When we do this, we are able to rejoice at the sound of His Name. It brings a continual flow of joy like a river.
This river is filled with His joy, and it is available to every believer. On our journey through life The LORD will take us to the river for a season of refreshment.
What is the takeaway from these verses?
If we learn how to praise Him in spirit and in truth, then our journey through life will be lit by the light of His presence.
We shall draw water from the wells of salvation. And we shall refresh ourselves in the river of His joy.
Declare:
“I am determined to journey through Life with You, LORD.
Every hour of the day I want to rejoice at the sound of Your Name.
I receive Your encouragement and refreshing as I walk with You. Your plans for my life, my family, and my nation give me hope and a future.
Thank You for loving me — and I return your love with my whole heart.
Praise Your holy name!”
Have a blessed and joy filled day in Jesus’ name.
