Good morning.

First is a beautiful song that I just found. Hope you enjoy, “A Friend of God” with the lyrics.

To start today, this is a recent quote from someone on one of my articles.

“In all of the Bible, there is only one thing that God says is His enemy and that is the carnal mind, which is an adversary, a Satan/ devil/ serpent, an accuser of the brethren, and a slanderer…..”

I am not disputing the fact that the ‘carnal mind’ would be for sure an enemy of God!

Also, I appreciate all who come by and take the time to comment — but I’m just wanting together to search out if there could even be more we could apply here?

Meaning, are there different enemies of God, beside a carnal mind?

( Also as you look at most of what I found below, in a ‘broad sense’ is caused by a carnal mind. )

As I often say, I’m not a Bible scholar, just searching out the Scriptures often times with you.

You may find more as you look in the Bible for yourself.

1) Workers who commit iniquity

“For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.” Psalm 92:9

2) Death

“Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:24-26

3) Friendship of the World

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4

4) People who speak wickedly against The LORD.

5) Those who rise up against The LORD.

“For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.” Psalm 139:20-22

6) The devil.

“He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.” Matthew 13:37-39

7) Who mind earthly things.

“(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)” Philippians 3:18-19

In conclusion, let’s be found the friend of God!

“And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.” James 2:23
