Pray this Prayer of Repentance for The Prayerless Church and Defiled Altars
Let us Pray this Prayer of Repentance for The Prayerless Church and Defiled Altars
Heavenly Father and God, we come before your throne humbly tonight to confess our prayerlessness as Intercessors, leaders and doorkeepers.
We confess that we have become carnal and worldly minded and many of us have become entangled with the affairs of this life.
We have echoed the words of Haggai 1 in our hearts,
“The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of The LORD…” Haggai 1:2.
yet Your House lies desecrated, abandoned — many of us even defiled in spirit!
The heavens feel like brass, the clouds heavy with transgression. The covering cast lies upon The Nations (Isaiah 25:7), and only You, O God, can destroy it.
We confess that we have not built up the hedges (Ezekiel 22:30).
We have forsaken our watch, grown fat and sluggish with false prophecies, spiritually dull and seduced by spectacle.
We have allowed the Cockatrice to lay its eggs (Isaiah 59:5) evil to hatch and mature in the Church, in our governments, cities, communities, and nations.
We have fornicated with other gods, exalting pastors, prophets, and bishops over You.
We’ve turned up for performances, but failed to discern the Signs of the Times (Matthew 16:3).
We have not cried out against injustice.
We have not wept for tyranny, corruption, and wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).
We have not travailed for the salvation of our families, nor made fervent supplications for the nations in this hour of great desolation.
You have called us to the Secret Place, but we have despised the invitation (Psalm 91:1).
You have beckoned us to come up higher, yet we’ve chosen what is shallow, common, and easy.
You have warned, “Watch and pray — in ambush lies the evil one!” — but we have not listened.
So now, Abba Father, Sovereign Lord, El Shaddai the All-Sufficient, All-Breasted One, Ruler of all thrones, dominions, and kingdoms (Colossians 1:16), we cry out for mercy!
Forgive us! Restore us! Rebuild us!
Let it not be too late for Revival to reach us.
As we Repent not with lips only, but from the depth of our hearts let, the Cleansing Refiner’s Fire of Your Spirit fall.
As You did for Joshua the high priest (Zechariah 3:1-5), remove our filthy garments; rebuke the accuser and clothe us anew.
Re-robe us in our Priestly Garments worthy priests of Your house.
Let Your Holy Spirit find expression through us again.
Pray through us. Weep through us. Warn through us.
Let power return not for spectacle, but for Your Glory.
In the mighty name of Yeshua the Messiah, Our Great High Priest,
We pray…
And we submit.
Shalom
