Prophets are chosen and ordained ONLY by God.
They are very peculiar people and often misunderstood. They carry God’s heart.
God will often allow them to carry burdens. They are intercessors.
Because of the rigorous training they go through, they are not easily intimidated, manipulated or easily offended.
They are called to live a very prayerful and consecrated life. They are often led to do things most people would question and never really understand.
Prayer is very essential to their growth. It is how they connect to God. They say, “a prayer-less prophet is a powerless prophet”.
Prophets are very strong-willed. They are and should only be led by the Holy Spirit.
If God says “go”, they go. If God says “stay”, they stay.
They are not controlled by people. Prophets hate manipulation and witchcraft. They are extremely sensitive (discernment).
They pick up and see things the natural or normal person would not.
Prophets can be very emotional people. The LORD often communicates to and through their emotions.
One minute they are up, the next minute they are down.
One minute they are sad, the next minute they are happy.
One minute they are sociable, the next minute they are alone.
One minute they are laughing, the next minute they are crying.
This should not be taken personal. They cannot be figured out or programed.
Because of this, they are often criticized. Because of what they are called to do, they often experience a high level of persecution; rejection and opposition, sometimes even from their own family members.
Prophets are called to walk alone. For this very reason, they cannot connect or walk with just every or anybody.
The persons they connect to and with MUST be chosen by God. God chooses who their coverings and life partners are because not every or anybody can handle or deal with the warfare connected to their mantle.
Prophets carry blessings and cursing. Connecting to them automatically connects you to their warfare…
Prophets can be very talented people…
