Reflections of a Testimony

Many years ago, I was walking with my two year old nephew Neville holding his hands.  I didn’t want to carry him, I just wanted to walk with him.

As we moved about 200 meters, he hit his foot against a stone and almost fell down but he did not because I WAS HOLDING HIM.

I realized that he was no longer walking on his strength but mine.  Then I heard the Voice of God saying to me..

“SON, YOU ARE HOLDING YOUR NEPHEWS HANDS TO WALK SO HE DOES NOT FALL, WHO IS HOLDING YOURS?

I was standing right at the front of the pastor who once disgraced me and tried to discourage me from preaching the Gospel.  I lifted up my face to the skies with tears streaking my cheeks then responded “IT’S YOU FATHER.”

The tears were so uncontrollable.

There have been times I just didn’t want to continue in this path; there have been times that looks as though the CROSS IS GREATER THAN HIS GRACE.  There have been times when TEARS were my food daily.

There have been times I had wished I was not even born.  There have been times when I saw that my life was completely out of order with my walls CRUMBLING leaving me TUMBLING….

Yet I still see myself going on not because I refused to let go, but because HE HOLDS MY HAND!

When you can’t find strength in holding His hands…. Know that He HOLDS YOUR HAND!
