Revival in Quietness — 16 Comments

  1. Reply to Brian Last attempt, I know the angle and I see the wording and look at it carefully but know that revival is a Holy Spirit work. The word prodigal is used in the bible to indicate a person who belonged to a fold but left or even the word anti-Christ they went out from among us is what John said. When Jesus came into the earth and began to preach it was a brand new covenant, how do you preach revival from that platform? The gospel was a brand new message that Jesus preached I think this is where we part ways you think there was some mixture of the old law and the priesthood was being told to clean up there act but in fact in the new covenant that tree was cursed never for a man to eat fruit of again and the temple was cleansed and Jesus Himself sat in the temple and taught the people

    • Hi Jay, a testimony and story for your consideration, and hopefully give you some perspective where I’m coming from or not.

Story: when I was a young teen, I heard a man on Christian television say if we want to understand Jesus, we must understand His time, place, language, His own backyard…it made much sense; a light bulb came on, and so my journey began those many years ago. The first book that I received that rocked and then calibrated my world was: Understanding the Difficult Words of Jesus, and some teaching cassettes which made a major impact as well. The name of the teaching cassettes: Nuggets From The Sermon on the Mount. What shook me to the core; especially from the book, was this beautiful Messiah from Israel, and His powerful proclamation and presentation of the advancing Kingdom. I fell deeply in love with this human and divine Messiah, and His glorious message and demonstration of the Kingdom. The sound which I first heard in the 80s is still reverberating and echoing into my life, and it is shaping and molding me into the vessel that He requires in the earth. King Jesus message has not changed, and this is the message I have talked about, proclaimed, and desired to walk out with the King and with the community/disciples He has called to follow Him as well. I cannot neglect or be silent in what He has written all over my life, journey, and DNA. I cannot… He is King. In the Kingdom, I am only required to give what He has given me, so I will give.

    • Jay, the nature of the prophetic task is to castigate and make light of concepts, ideas, and pattern of thoughts which become idolized in ancient and modern people. I do believe this word “revival” has moved into this realm… BUT, I never denounced or demonstrated disdain in my blogging the movement of God with the people who encountered the now and here King! I am not a fool, and desire to honor their moment in time and their sacrifice for His purposes, but never make their sacrifice and time into an idol. This is wisdom. We are waiting for “revival”, but the King has given us the best; His Spirit, and wants us to put faith into action with our feet and hands, while moving toward others with His great compassion of healing, restoration, exorcising demons, and reconciliation with God and others into the covenant keeping community. A prophetic burden, and this is the Kingdom of heaven advancing through us within real time and space, and people. Much more to say, but I will stop for now.  All allegiance and honor to King Jesus!

  2. reply to Brian luke 22 25 Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles have absolute power and lord it over them; and those in authority over them are called ‘Benefactors.’ 26 But it is not to be this way with you; on the contrary, the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest [and least privileged], and the [one who is the] leader, like the servant.
The greatest in this group is Jesus, yes Jesus is King over all, in fact, the whole of the earth and everything you see was made by Him and for Him, every kingdom principality, or power is here because of Jesus the word of God. Yet when speaking of greatness and comparing flesh man vs the born of the Spirit new creature the comparison cannot be made one knows God and is eternal the other does not and Jesus is the head king high priest over this kingdom that is so much greater you cannot compare

    • Jay, be blessed. I believe you are coming at this from a different angle and presentation then what I am asking we look at. The challenge I made was very specifically around the word and concept of “revival”, and our need to emulate the passion of our King and Messiah, and bring all our words, lives, ideas, and journey into the glorious dimensions and light of His mission and demonstration of the Kingdom of heaven/God. This is what I am asking we wrestle with in prophetic intergrity and scrutiny. All allegiance and honor to King Jesus!

  3. reply to Brian The earth is the Lord s and the fullness thereof, yes there are people vessels that want nothing to do with God or His creation, and there are people who are lost for many reasons the top one being the gospel not being readily available or the gospel being preached from a man and not from the Spirit of God messing up clarity which usually involves money like in Jesus day. But the fact remains the earth is the Lord s and everything in it, God’s plan is not to fill HELL with people that would be the devil’s plan who you do not want to follow or sound like!!!!! God s plan is to fill Heaven and as Jesus said on palm Sunday if the children were quiet the rocks would cry out, God will revive His church His Sons sacrifice will produce a bride and all of Hell and its minions will not prevail they are the ones who have labored in vain

    • Hi, Jay, I bless you in the name of King Jesus! His name is above ALL!

When Jesus announced, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven/God is at hand/here!” I believe He was letting every other kingdom know, and putting every other king on high alert that the True King was here and on the scene, and the intention of his Father’s will would prevail. The King always wants domain for the sake of his Father, and the Father wants the Nations for His son. This is the ultimate intention of the Father and Son… the Nations! And the Holy Spirit is here to empower us and clothe us in representation of the Father and Son’ desire for the Nations!

The real battle through the ages is all about a throne, and who is the true King of this throne. This was the announcement of Messiah Jesus, “Repent”… Repentance is the word and proclamation of the King and His kingdom, and not for our sake. All allegiance and honor to King Jesus!

  4. The Kingdom of heaven/God was the passion of our Messiah and King, and so I will pursue this King and kingdom. It is my magnificent cry and longing to see the advancement of the Kingship of Messiah through and upon His people; empowered by Holy Spirit, to the nations and people of the earth! Lead on, King Jesus! King Jesus, rule and reign through us!

  5. I still believe we need to wrestle with this word “revival” in relationship to the words and deeds of the GREATEST PROPHET of all, King Jesus! King Jesus is the full expression and image of Father’s intention and plan, anything else is…? Did He call into, proclaim, illustrate, and demonstrate this word and idea? Look and read carefully His words and deeds, what do you see? His eyes and vision are what you need to cast your life and gaze through. All else will leave you blind! Words and phrases we are familiar with, must be brought under scrutiny within His context of mission and words. We must return to His mission and proclamation.

And when it was day, he departed and went into a desolate place. And the people saw him and came to him, and would have kept him from leaving them, but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.” And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea. Luke 4:42-44 ESV

All allegiance and honor to King Jesus!

    • This word “revival” has become a sacred cow and buzz sound in certain sectors of the body of Messiah, and to touch it, you will begin to hear people mooing and saying, you are stinging us in an unnecessary way. We need to prophetically look at this word with scrutiny and integrity. This is a challenge worth going after; especially, if it takes us closer to the heart and intent of King Jesus’ mission and mandate of us discipling nations.

All allegiance and honor to King Jesus!

  6. You think about the testimony of Jesus How the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and the word of God which Mary believed (be it unto me as thou as spoken) produced Jesus. How anyone who hears about Jesus and believes the word spoken and says be it unto me as thou has spoken inviting Jesus the word to be born in us. Most church doctrine would agree with this but when you begin to talk about the anointing of the Holy Spirit moving from overshadowing to inward dwelling and producing the Mark ch 16 signs then churches part ways! Think carefully about the Holy Spirit overshadowing Mary and what she believed which produced Jesus, this same Jesus became Jesus Christ when John was baptizing Him in water and God interrupted and baptized Jesus in the Holy Spirit calling Him His beloved Son, THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS FOR JESUS WHO YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE TO WHEN YOU ACCEPTED HIM AS LORD THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU! This is the testimony of Jesus and who He is. this is the power of God unto salvation this is the victory that overcomes the world the bride of Christ
