  1. Thank you Lord Jesus for divine rest
Some time ago, I read Matt. 11:28, “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest”, in the German Heilige Schrift, “Kommet her zu mir alle, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid; ich will euch ERQUICKEN”.
The word “erquicken” gives me the special association with the Danish word “kvikke op”, which means “cheer up” and “stimulate”. In this way, I find the verse very stimulating.
The word “rest” becomes richer, more cheerful and living to me, and because the word is in fact active, it can move me from burdens of every kind.
What a wonderful verse. In my life, I have heard the verse given in heavy situations and grieving atmosphere. I see now, that this verse is given from the Lord Jesus, Who is giving us access to open the door and go through into a cheerful atmosphere, what a wonderful and considerate Lord we have.
God bless you all with a cheerful heart.
