Spirits sent to stop you from flowing
and from where you are going!
I will say up front that this is a bit long, but will be worth the read for future reference. I have learned this over a period of about 33 years and know it is truth.
When there is a flow to the Holy Spirit it grieves Him when someone breaks that Flow with their own agenda. You have to understand that flow before you speak, or share. You also have to know His timing.
When everyone looks like they have had a bucket of ice water poured on them or when they have stopped the flow of what is being said in a thread on, for example, Facebook. They have probably grieved the Holy Spirit. We need to wait on Him before we speak many times! I see this a lot. I pray that many who are new in the moving of the Spirit would learn to move in the flow …..
The Great Distraction
On the other hand, there are those that begin to show up in spiritual gatherings and yes, even on Facebook who are SENT BY THE ENEMY to stop the flow…. These are those who are sent by the enemy to pick fights, start arguments, and even come to flatter you for one purpose, and that is TO DISTRACT YOU FROM THE MISSION AND PURPOSE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THAT DAY! The Apostle Paul had this problem when he was preaching.
“It happened that as we were on our way to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave-girl who had a spirit of divination [that is, a demonic spirit claiming to foretell the future and discover hidden knowledge], and she brought her owners a good profit by fortune-telling. She followed after Paul and us and kept screaming and shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God! They are proclaiming to you the way of salvation!” She continued doing this for several days. Then Paul, being greatly annoyed and worn out, turned and said to the spirit inside her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ [as His representative] to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment,” Acts 16:16-18 (AMP).
Many are sent to disrupt the flow and wear you out!
You see, this spirit was more than likely sent by her owners to bring irritation or a grieving as the King James says. It followed for many days until Paul became GRIEVED IN HIS SPIRIT. (SOMETHING JUST WASN’T RIGHT!) Also it was wearing him out!
I am telling you that, THESE PEOPLE ARE SENT BY THE ENEMY TO WEAR OUT THE SAINTS, as it says in Daniel.
Then he recognized it even though it was saying all of the right words about him (flattery). Still it was irritating to Him and he recognized that this wasn’t in the flow of the Spirit of what he was SENT TO DO. Oh, this is good teaching if you will hear it!
You all know what this is, but haven’t had the boldness at times to call it what it is, for fear of hurting someones feelings. Yes we need to do it in God’s way and in His timing but we must put a stop to that thing that is stopping the flow of His Spirit. It will be imperative to finish what God has called us to do in these days.
Many years ago, I was teaching a women’s bible study group and intercessory prayer group and when the Spirit started really flowing in those meetings a woman began attending. She would come in and begin to rattle paper. She would disrupt with words, that would not even have anything to do with the lesson. She would break the spirit’s flow every time. She would sit by a new person in the group and begin to lie to them about anything and everything.
Once, as she was doing this, there was a new lady to who she was telling all of her stuff and God spoke to me and said, “I want you to tell that Lying spirit to shut up!” I said “Who me Lord? What will the new person think of me? They will think I am mean!”
Then the Lord insisted. “Tell it to shut up!” So I mustered up all of the boldness that I had and said out loud, “In the name of Jesus, you lying spirit, SHUT UP!” Guess what? SHE SHUT UP!
Now, if this person had not been full of spirits sent by the enemy, they would have been offended and left. But when you just rebuke one of these spirits, they just keep coming back many times to accomplish their mission.
Time to cast them out!
So many times you must cast out the devils or, if they will not be delivered… we have to ask the person to go. One thing about Facebook, is that we have the unfriend button to use. We can still pray for these people, but we must stay in the flow of His Spirit and His leading, in order to accomplish what He has called us to do.
So to finishes this Word of Wisdom to those who will hear!
- You must discern when something has gotten you out of the flow, with whatever it is they do. Whether it be with a word tacked onto something that is not in the flow of what God is saying, or even a picture can distract from the mission.
It can be flattery, about you or others. It can even be a prayer request that throws it off.
I am sure not unsympathetic to people’s prayers but sometimes it can be done in another setting or in a private message. It can just be a number of things, but one thing is for sure, EVERY ONE WHO IS IN THE FLOW IS GRIEVED AND IRRITATED when it happens and that my friends is your DISCERNING OF SPIRITS!
I know this will open up a can of worms and some people will have issues with this, but it needs to be said. I pray that you still love me smile emoticon heart emoticon
- We have to stay in the flow of what we are sent to do no matter how we must stop these distractions. WE MUST GO FORWARD AND NOT BE SIDETRACKED! This happens in our gatherings as well as on Facebook.
So Let’s press in to understand the flow of His Spirit and also know when the enemy is only bringing a diversion. That is the enemies whole game…. distracting the moving of the Spirit! Let’s be alert!!
