Striving! versus Resting!
Let us labor to enter into His rest. How do we do that? How do you do the works of God?
Simply believing on him whom He hath sent, (Christ). Therefore their remaineth a rest for the people of God and many cannot enter into that rest because of unbelief. They are stumbling at the stumbling block, Christ Jesus, the finished work of the cross, seeking it as it was by works and not by faith.
Yield to His Spirit and be led of Him daily. Abide in Him and His Word. Walk and move in him. There is no striving there, simply resting and trusting in Him.
Jesus said; “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Ceasing from your own labors and entering into Him and His rest, is where you will find rest for your souls.
Seek ye the old path and walk therein. Jesus is the old path. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, except through and by Him.
Follow the path Jesus designed. He was always led by the Spirit and that Spirit led Him daily, where the work of the cross was finished and completed in him.
Follow that path and trust in his leading, Following wheresoever He leads, knowing that He will complete the work he started in you.
Stop striving and yield and be led and stay in faith. True identity is found in Christ. The accuser is cast out! You are clothed in His righteousness, not of your own works, least any can boast.
“At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light,” Matthew 11:25-30.
“Heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool, and what house will ye build me? And where is the place of my rest?” Isaiah 66:1.
“Unless the Lord build the house they labor in vain that built it. Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain,” Psalm 127:1.
