The Devil is Not Your Worst Enemy
Many people talk like and act like and blame the devil for all their troubles.
We humans have more troubles and weakness and sin then the devil could ever author. The devil is bound to “a space” and cannot be everywhere at once.
Some people think he is everywhere present and is to blame for all their problems, sins and troubles.
But no, even though the devil is bad, and the father of all lies, and he is going to and fro in all the World seeking who he can destroy, he cannot be the reason for all men’s problems.
So What is Man’s Worst Enemy?
Just what is it that makes men sin and make stupid decisions?
What is it that fully gives men so much trouble?
The answer is — their flesh bodies — or earthly flesh bodies.
That is right, the Flesh that every human carries around!
That part of each man that we call a Body. So why is the FLESH BODY the greatest enemy of all, or, the reason for so much trouble?
The Bible says this concerning the Flesh in Romans 7,
“For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness — my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not.” Romans 7:18 AMP
Again Jeremiah 17,
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9.
Yes the scriptures tell us that nothing good lives in the flesh, and the flesh is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked!
The flesh then is man’s greatest problem!
It is the craving of the old flesh that causes men to go wrong, to make the wrong choices, to not understand.
The devil can only “use our flesh” to hurt us now, but he cannot be everywhere at the same time.
It is the flesh that constantly pulls men down. The flesh is like a magnet that keeps men earthbound.
The flesh in which one can find no good thing, is constantly holding men down, while the Spirit [in which the Holy Spirit of God lives] is pulling men up and up even into heavenly glory, the flesh works hard to stop the upward progress.
The Scriptures tell us that until the flesh is “Changed” men will not be able to enter into heavenly glory.
The fact is, until the flesh body is changed into a heavenly body, it cannot leave the ground. But, when that flesh body is changed and that sinful Earthly Body is changed into a Spirit Body, the New Heavenly Body will walk right into Heaven.
See the following verses in 1 Corinthians 15:
“As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” 1 Corinthians 15:48-53.
As long as men have this “Earthly flesh body” it will be earthbound, but when men are “Caught up and changed in a moment” they will fly away into heaven to be with The LORD.
Right now we fight the flesh which fights to hold us down. Like a magnet it holds us. When men would go higher to walk with The LORD the Flesh dose not want to go; it literally cannot go.
Someday, maybe soon, we [who are saved and born again] will all be changed into a heavenly body.
At that day we will be with The LORD.
No more hindrance, no more struggle, no more overcoming, no more trials, no more earthly pain, weakness or sorrow.
We will be free. Yes free to walk in heavenly glory in glorified bodies.
The earth will pass away, but we who are changed and caught up will remain forever with The LORD.
So, what should we do now, while we wait for the “Change to happen”
How will we ever be able overcome this Flesh which does holds us down?
Please read the following in Romans 8,
“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8:5-9.
Jesus said it this way — you must be born again. That which is flesh is flesh — but that which is spirit is spirit. Without being Born of The Spirit, one cannot even see or understand The Kingdom of God.
The Flesh man who is then Born again and is given The Spirit can and will overcome the Flesh.
When one walks in The Spirit they overcome the flesh.
So the Spirit Man walks through this life overcoming the Flesh, the real battle then is men must overcome the flesh by The Holy Spirit — and sometime in the near future all saved and spiritual men will be changed forever.
Until that day men must, as Romans 12,
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2.
Conclusion
Yes the Flesh is mans greatest enemy, but, now in the Spirit one can rise up and present their flesh bodies living sacrifices [put the Flesh to death not obeying its power].
Men are Acceptable to God while in this Flesh by His Spirit, in Christ.
Now in that saving power men should rise up and refuse to be conformed to this world but be transformed and their minds renewed [in The Spirit].
The Scriptures then tell us in Romans 8,
“That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:4-6.
Crucify the Flesh and Walk in the Spirit
I have taught this Teaching as I have been led by my Blessed Holy Spirit to teach.
May all Flesh men Walk in the Spirit. Then they will soar with The LORD into Victory.
