The Former Things shall come to Pass
“See, the earlier things have come to pass, new ones I now declare; Before they spring forth I announce them to you,” Isaiah 42:9.
We are told in the verses above that the earlier things will come to pass. What are the earlier things, you may ask? I believe that part of these earlier things, are the great feats of courage and wisdom that came forth from the patriarchs and the prophets of old. But even so, we are also told that the “latter house will be much greater than the former one,” Haggai 2:9.
For now because the Son had gone to the Father, now we are given the same spirit, the same means of miracles and faith, and wisdom. In fact, the Lord himself says,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father,” John 14:12.
So the things of old that once were, shall come, and are coming forth in this hour. Great exploits will be seen in the form of great miracles and courage. For in these days of darkness and confusion, we need them in order to stand secure as the winds blow, and the calamities rise all around us. For as we know, the enemy comes in the form of an angel of light. He disguises himself in subtle ways and with his lies he would try to persuade and divide us. Yet as know, “greater is he that is within us, than he that is in the world.”
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world,” 1 John 4:4.
We shall grab that wily serpent and throw him to the ground. Yes, he was already defeated, but he still manages to find a way to tempt us, to confuse us, and to divide us. So, this house that we now reside in, the temple that is within us, will give rise to even greater things, and in the days ahead the sons of God will go forth exhibiting that spirit of might and courage more so than even Elijah, Elisha, Solomon, and Joshua.
