The Four Steps of Revival
A revelation from The Book of Acts for today.
The LORD sometimes has an odd way of grabbing my attention.
Today it was simply this –
“Hear.
Repent.
Holy Spirit.
Spread it — Take it to the world.”
I said, “That sounds like Revival, LORD!”
“It is. Acts 2 spells it out — it’s the four steps — apart from prayer — needed to host and to hold on to revival!” He replied.
And with that, The LORD proceeded to walk me through scripture that I could mostly recite from memory!
“First people heard a commotion from The Upper Room when The Holy Spirit first manifested among them.
People heard the first Sign and Wonder. They heard the God News of Christ in their own language.
They asked what’s going on.
The Gospel was preached.” (Acts 2:5-36)
I saw in my spirit, a large crusade — mid-50’s — Roberts, Coe, Branham, Allan — men of god proclaiming the Gospel as only they were able to do!
“Then those who heard the gospel were convicted and asked what they must do?” Acts 2:37.
Again in my spirit I saw Bonnke and his team leading thousands, even a million souls towards Christ?
“That is the first First Step — hearing!
Second Step — under the conviction of The Holy Spirit — the people repented.” (Acts 2:37-40)
Once more I saw crusades where conviction of The Holy Spirit led men, women, and children weeping to the altar—- to the Mercy Seat!
“Third Step, many were baptised in Holy Spirit with signs and wonders following!” (Acts 2:41-47)
Oh the sights and sounds of souls being set free, instant healings manifesting — signs and wonders flowing?
“Fourth Step — they received with great joy — the first ‘Revival’ — three thousand were added to their number that day! And the first Church, a House Church, was born!
Here is the blueprint for every Revival! Laid on an Altar of Prayer!” says The LORD.
“Have you experienced it yet?
Only a few have so far!
Those who have never wanted to leave it again!” says The LORD!
My mind returned to Lakeland in May/ June 2008 — one that I experienced.
Revival was pure, it was real, it was the very presence of God manifest for mankind to enjoy.
Like many before it, it faded, corrupted and/ or died.
But torch bearers carried the flame elsewhere — as with many revivals before it.
Revival isn’t a long-gone dream, it’s a reality of Gods presence for all who will, to enjoy.
And YES, it’s coming again NOW — the Torch Bearers are lighting where The Altar has been prepared and laid.
How appropriate if it were to break forth this coming Pentecost!
What a time between now and the Feast of Trumpets.
Gosh golly — is that a prophetic word?
Yom Teruah, Rosh Hashanah — September 11
Yom Kippur — September 20
Sukkot — September 25
We shall see….
