“And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition,” Revelation 17:10-11.
(There have been many speculations and articles over the years that have attempted to pin-point these kings. I for one, believe them to be different kingdoms that have ruled over the earth at different times in the past. The last two, particularly the eighth one, will be the beast that goes into perdition as is said in the verses above. We are on the threshold of these last two kingdoms and may we be wise to know how to live our days carefully and with eyes to see. )
“The kings are lined up at the end of the age. Many have come and gone. Who will do battle in these last days? Nations rise and fall at my command. My kingdom will come, and will be like no others that have come before. It will be an ever-lasting kingdom.
Those of this earth, rise and fall. The dream of Nebuchadnezzar revealed those kingdoms which were to come. Six have already come and gone. And now you stand upon the threshold of the last kingdom upon the earth. And this kingdom will deceitfully deal out its rules and ordinances. You will be held captive by its demands upon your souls. The reign of this kingdom will sweep far and wide.
Many have speculated about who this one is to come. But when he comes, then you will know for certain. Nations will give him homage; and he will proclaim peace, but peace is far from his agenda.
And then many will be held captive, but I will protect my own on those days. The winds will blow upon the earth, and that era will come to pass. The world’s economies will pour into his kingdom. And the love of many will wax cold in those days.”
