The Power of ONE — A Word for 2026
Amended from about a week ago. I know I only posted this recently but The LORD has had me change it and repost it. . . .
I’ve posted many times about The LORD saying that no man, no Church will be able to say, “It started here!”
This is because, I believe, that Revival, wherever it comes and in whatever form it takes, will manifest simultaneously around the world.
Having said that, I’m acutely aware that The Holy Spirit is already moving in several places — like China, Iran, North Korea, and Afghanistan, too name a few more obvious ones.
Even so, this morning The LORD spoke clearly this morning about ‘The Power of ONE’.
It was quite clear that He was referring to the old saying that ‘It only takes one!’
- One match to start a fire.
- One shot to start a war.
- Just one spark from The Holy Spirit to start a Revival!
1985 The Argentine Revival started with one church, Reye de Reyes in Buenos Aires with pastor Claudio Friedzen.
- Claudio Friedzen was the spark!
1992 The so-called Toronto Blessing started with one Church, Toronto Airport Fellowship with evangelist Randy Clark under pastor John Arnott.
- Randy Clark was the spark
1995 The Pensacola Outpouring started with one church, Brownsville, Florida with evangelist Steve Hill under pastor John Kilpatrick.
- Steve Hill was the spark
1903 The whole Welsh Revival started in one church, Moriah Chapel in Loughor, near Swansea with evangelist/leader Evan Robert’s and pastor and apostle Seth Joshua.
Evan Roberts was the spark
1949 The Hebridean Revival started in one church in Barvas, Isle of Lewis with pastor Duncan Campbell and intercessors the praying Smith sisters.
- Peggy and Christine Smith, blind, crippled and in their 80’s were the spark
Are you hearing this?
God uses people, ordinary people, as the spark that spurs Holy Spirit into action!
All these revivals then sent the blessings all round the world. What’s to say it’s not going to happen through one church again, but one church in each town; one church in each city; one church in each country — simultaneously?
It’s got to start somewhere near us so it’s up to us to stake our claim in prayer!
- BE the one in your church!
- BE the one in your town!
- BE the one in your city!
- BE the one in your country!
Then allow The Holy Spirit to do His work!
Remember —
- it’s NOT a race;
- it’s NOT a competition;
- it’s simply being obedient to the call of God to YOU.
The LORD sends revival in answer to the prayers and hearts of the persistent intercessors.
The Holy Spirit is the spark
BUT . . .
Never underestimate the power of ONE!
ONE obedient person…
ONE faithful Church…
ONE in each village, town, city, or country…
Amen!
Why not you?
Why not your Church?
The HOLY SPIRIT can only react to our obedience!
~ Chris G. Bennett — in excited Hope and Refired Passion!
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.

Dear Chris, I meant to comment on this powerful word but I have been tied up with warfare this whole season. Nevertheless, The Lord confirmed to me what I have been believing…the power of one is just as important as the power of two. I really needed this reminder “Never underestimate the power of one..one obedient person! I have felt so alone in the battle and had to keep saying, Lord, no matter how I feel, I refuse to believe that my prayer is not working. Happy New Year. I do believe things are looking up! In His love, Sandi
So true Chris. To say how many God had pulled aside into the wilderness to carry this Special Thing of a Glory Carrier for a Nation – I always pondered. If the whole thing comprises of “The Little Flock,” then it could be just one for a Nation. I pray that HE would expound on this for us. In any event, I just know that nothing is impossible for God to use one person to bring about Revival for an entire Nation, especially since HE is doing a very New Thing.
Blessings, JC
I think that church led missionary efforts fail or just make a small difference at best. The power of One is about this.
John 17:21
New International Version
21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
This is a requirement for all members of the church to split off into places that are out of the way for other members of Christ in oneness together.
I think that your interpretation is subtext to the writing between the writing, You can’t go on a great mission until you really personally felt God inside you?
So this oneness allows you to present yourself as a Child of God. Seek oneness with God and feel his presence
I’m sorry to say that you’ve misinterpreted me completely! I spent three years on the mission field and yes, you cannot do that without God inside you. However, when the Lord gave me this word, He was talking, literally, about the power of one act – one match to start a fire; one shot to star a war; and one spark from Holy Spirit to start revival. He went on to say (in my PS comment below) that the power of one increases exponentially when joined by another and the two act in unity.
I’ve no doubt your alternative interpretation of the power of one is also correct, but it wasn’t at all what the Lord was saying to me!
God bless you Kirk
P.S.
I wrote in this post – “Holy Spirit only reacts to our obedience”
but . . .
If one can put 1,000 and two can put 10,000 to flight just imagine the exponential result of ten or twenty being obedient and Holy Spirit moving on (say) 100,000 people!!!
That would be a good description of revival!
