I just asked The LORD this question that was asked in this Psalm below, as I read something stood out to me.
As David asked this question in the midst of the turmoil all around him, and asked why the kings of the earth set themselves against The LORD and God’s people — God just simply Laughs!
Then He says, “But I have set My King upon My Holy Hill!.”
It was God’s way of telling David, “I’ve got this, and I AM laughing at these people who think they are in charge!”
And The King, yes my King, is still on The Throne!
Gotta love what God is saying here….
It is time to rest in the Victory!!
“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against The LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion,” Psalm 2:1-6.
