Do you sense a change in the seasons?

The transition from one season to the next maybe gradual but the signs are apparent to those who discern.

“The seasons are changing,” says the LORD.

“The seed was planted in the spring. It has grown and has been forming fruit throughout the summer. And now with the change of the seasons comes the harvest. Are you ready? If you are seeking My will in this hour you are seeking to reap the soon coming harvest. There have been abundant harvests in the past but the abundance of this one will surpass them all. Are you beseeching Me to send more workers into the field? If not, you need to be.

This harvest will not spoil in the fields because it is Mine. What is left behind will be turned into the ground but that which has been reaped will be cause for great celebration. A feast is coming. A day of rejoicing is coming.”

In my heart I sense something. On one hand there is this word from the LORD concerning the harvest. On the other is awareness that at this monumental hour there are many who are asleep. There are a couple of reasons for this spiritual slumber which were made apparent to me.

Lack of purpose –

You may be in that place where you wonder what your spiritual gifts are or even if you have any. You feel as though you have not been equipped with the necessary tools and therefore have relegated yourself to the sidelines. You seek security and predictability but what you have found is a monotonous life that lacks purpose. You drum on from day to day. Each day looks the same as the last and you silently wonder if it will ever come to an end. The droll existence from day to day has lulled you to spiritual slumber.

Drawn into the promises of this world –

We are reminded in God’s word that where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. This includes our focus. Yet if you have been on this path long enough the treasures have lost their value and have become meaningless. You know there is more for you but despite this, you can’t seem to let go of the promises of this world. Because you have become worldly minded, you have been spiritually asleep.

If either of these descriptions hit home in your heart there is no shame in admitting it. I n fact, by admitting that this is where you have been you are placing yourself in a position to be used. Now, I am going to call these things I have written above exactly what they are… LIES.

Deep down in your spirit you already know this and yet you have been uncertain regarding the truth. You suffer from an identity crisis but no more! In the name of JESUS I declare these strongholds over your life BROKEN. Not one brick will stand atop of another. Not one mortared joint will remain in place. On this day I declare FREEDOM from this oppression and the lies of the enemy in Jesus’ name!

Receive what is given. It is a gift. It may seem like ice water poured over your head but you are drifting out of your lane and about to collide with oncoming traffic. This will save your life!

“LORD, JESUS, I realize that I have been asleep. I lack purpose. I lack vision. This life has become monotonous and I have stopped expecting. I have stopped receiving. I declare this stronghold in my life to be broken in the name of JESUS. LORD, fill me with Your purpose. Fill me with Your vision. Awaken my soul! LORD, in accordance with Your word I declare that I am Your handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works which You have prepared in advance for me to do. I long to be plugged in. I long to be a tool used by Your hand for the purpose You have given me. I will run no longer! Holy Spirit, I invite You in. I invite You not only to reside, but to preside within me. I submit myself before You, LORD. I repent. Now, according to Your word, I receive Your promise. I receive Your forgiveness. I receive Your cleansing. LORD, wipe away all that is unrighteous from within me. Create in me a clean heart, oh God! I pray and receive all of these things in the mighty name of JESUS. AMEN”

“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.”
