Things are so different today…

This may offend many, but I do not intend to.  This post is not to hit at anyone, its just a simple expression of my heart..!

There was a time when we prayed and wept not for money nor fame and popularity in the Church; we wept sore for SOULS and SOULS and MORE SOULS to be added into the kingdom.  Our evangelism slogan was DEPOPULATING HELL TO POPULATE HEAVEN!

We would spend hours of intercessions!  I recall I spent over 12 hours almost daily and we saw TRUE and REAL conversions where people would start confessing their sins not in church but from their homes as we March and sing,ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS MARCHING AS TO WAR…

Armed with the SWORD (WORD) and PRAYERS, we snatched men from the clutches of satan.  Making money from them?  NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!

Our minds were pure, virgins.  God was REAL and we KNEW it! We saw His power..  The lame walked, blind saw, deaf heard dumb spoke and the dead were brought back to life!

As I reflect in what we have as church today, it seems so different from what was… THE CRAZE FOR MEMBERSHIP so there can be more offerings and tithes….

Don’t crucify me, I HEARD THIS MYSELF FROM MANY PULPITS!  The drive has shifted from depopulation of hell to populate heaven to increasing members to increase income!

Oh what a colossal fall from Grace!  Oh what shame we see! I wonder if God recognizes today’s sermons from many pulpits.

Let me close this burden by asking a simple question:

IF JESUS WERE TO WALK ON EARTH IN OUR HUMAN FORM AND SEEKS A TRUE CHURCH TO FELLOWSHIP, WILL HE FIND YOUR CHURCH WORTHY OF HIS FELLOWSHIP?
