What It means to be Born Again – and how!
It is even as a mystery to the world of men who are blinded by sin and cannot even see clearly much less understand.
The Holy Word of God says this concerning all men living:
“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood: destruction and misery are in their ways: and the way of peace have they not known: there is no Fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:10-18
The Word of God declares that all men are born sinners, it is not even their choice for they are all born in the linage of Adam, and Adam sinned a great sin in The Garden of Eden, that has caused all men to be sinners like him.
It is the curse of Adam. See Romans 5,
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Romans 5:12
Not everyone has understood this, that death passed upon all men, because of the sin of Adam.
In the revelation knowledge of this by The Holy Spirit, men begin to see that in order to be truly saved they “Must” know that they ……. are sinners and there is nothing they can do to change that fact.
They cannot change any more then a person can change the color of their skin!
I understand this to say: men must see and understand that they are sinners before they can even be saved.
If a man does not know why he is lost, then how can he even understand how to be found?
Many men have never even understood that they then are lost sinners.
On top of this bad news they must understand that they themselves cannot even change themselves, because they do not know how, nor do they even know go about it to be saved.
Because they are sinners, The Bible says that they are all:
- Gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no not one!
It follows then: if one does not even know that there is none that does good, no not even one.
Then how to begin to work to be saved one cannot, for he does not know how to proceed forward.
Many people believe that by beginning to do good works or things that please God, will save them.
But remember, none can please God for they do not even know how.
- There is none that understands or seeks God.
Literally before any person can know how to be saved he must understand and seek. But he does not understand this even.
It is at this point that the one who is lost and in the dark can begin to see and understand, but, that must be revealed to him by The Holy Spirit of God.
Literally, millions of people are walking around today are in total darkness not knowing they are even in a dark place and lost — until The Holy Spirit turns on the light of understanding, for them to see their sin and how bad they even need The LORD!
Many today have never seen themselves lost sinners in the dark, unable to help themselves, this is why they remain lost.
If they had known, would they be still lost?
I hope not, because after hearing this truth to turn away from it is entering somewhere of even greater darkness.
The LORD via the power of The Holy Spirit must enlighten them to understand, else they will remain in the dark.
See Ephesians 1,
“That the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, The Father of Glory, may give unto you The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when He raised him from the dead, and set Him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1:17-20
Pray for enlightening….
- One must know that there are none righteous, that includes him!
Since there is no person who has any righteousness in him, then there follows that: none can be righteous by drawing on an empty well.
Any person who thinks they can drum up their own righteous, is ignorant, because they have nothing to begin with or drum up.
They have no ability…….. Why? Because they are sinners, guilty because of Adam’s sin which has become theirs.
There is more I could say about the sinner and who he is, but, I will trust that this is enough to show the sinner his sin and lack to save himself.
Once one sees himself to be a lost sinner unable to help himself or even able to understand, then that man will be able to understand why Jesus Christ had to die on the Cross for sinners.
The fact is, Jesus Christ came into this world and took sin upon Himself, died because of sin placed upon him, and was then buried in the ground.
Dead — but then Jesus walked out of the grave and lived again, proving that men are forgiven of sin.
The reason many sincere people who are seeking and trying to be saved are lost today, and not saved, is because they cannot understand Jesus did it all for them on His Cross.
It is then understood that Jesus Christ is the only way for any man to be saved.
Without Jesus Christ (and what Jesus did for sinners), there is no other savior. None. No not even one.
For Jesus said this: “I AM The Way, The Truth and The Life, no man can can come unto The Father — but — by Me!”
Read it now:
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me.” John 14:6
Jesus then takes the trying and working away from the lost sinner and He Himself (Jesus) works the works for the sinner.
The fact is, Jesus’ work is satisfactory to please God!
In Jesus, men are accepted before God, saved, and even created into a new creature to — for the first time — be able to even please God by doing works.
Out of the new birth will come a new man, created by God to do good works.
Never ever the same, but empowered by the very holy spirit that will now live within them.
See Ephesians,
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:4-10
Salvation is then made available to all who have been enlightened to know and understand that Jesus Christ has died to save them — and give them total forgiveness and eternal life!
Men then must do only one thing to be saved…………
He must repent of his unbelief and — see Romans 10,
“Confess with thy mouth The LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. He must simply repent and turn from his unbelief and call upon The LORD and believe in his heart that Jesus is his only savior.” Romans 10:9-10
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of The LORD shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
The promise to all who know they are lost and that Jesus died to save them, is simply believe and call upon Him.
Additional scripture to read: John 3:1-10 [Jesus said you must be born again]
“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?“” John 3:1-10

LORD help those who have never been saved hear these words and believe. Open their heart to know you.
Help them to know that you alone can save them. Help them believe.
