1 JOHN 2:15-17 “LOVE NOT THE WORLD, neither the THINGS IN THE WORLD. If any man love the world, THE LOVE OF THE FATHER IS NOT IN HIM. For ALL THAT IS IN THE WORLD, the LUST OF THE FLESH, and THE EYES, and THE PRIDE OF LIFE, is NOT of the Father, but is of the World.”

Ever since I came back from the Desert in 1999, where God did speak to me for five days outright; I have not been able to sit and watch programed TV. It is sickening in my Spirit to do so. I did have to live with my father and help him, after my God encounter, in the latter days of his life. While living there with him I was subjected to watching TV, because he watched TV. I found it did so upset me I had to leave the room. I could not stand to be in the same room with the TV on. If I did give in and watch it, I found I had to repent and ask God to forgive me because when I went to talk with Him, he would not answer me, and If he did answer me, IT WAS TO REBUKE ME. The Lord is very concerned you see about how we feel about the things of the World. When we begin to dabble again in the World, IT DOES GRIEVE HIM. The World is NOT his recommend.

The Bible says that Samson did play around with sin. He made a joke of it by laying his head in the lap of a Harlot. She cut his Spiritual Hair and he LOST HIS POWER. The next morning when the evil men came in to bind him, He jumped up and Shook himself as before…. HE DID NOT KNOW HIS SPIRITUAL POWER WAS GONE! They bound him and put out his Eyes. Taking him captive they made him a SLAVE and put him to the grind mill and made him work like an Ox. Many a good man of God has done the same thing. They have LOST THEIR POWER, and the devil has came and put OUT their EYES. They do not see SPIRITUAL THINGS CORRECTLY NOW, they have a funny sort of religion that does not agree with the Bible. Than we wonder what happened to them? Why do they do the things they do? You do not have to look far, just go to their house and see what they do.

If you are laying your head in the Lap of SIN, you must know that when you ARISE TO SHAKE YOURSELF… IN TIME OF NEED FOR GOD… you will find you HAVE LOST THE HOLY SPIRIT POWER.

It became very clear to me that IF I WANTED TO REMAIN SPIRITUAL, I would have to STOP, watching TV. To sit and digest Hollywood, without restraint, would cause one to go crazy spiritually. Now my wife and I do own a TV, but it is not hooked up to a cable or rabbit ears. Instead we do collect CLEAN CHRISTIAN MOVIES and old Movies that are rated for Family. If we buy a movie and even once we hear the Lord’s name taken in vain IT IS TOSSED. We do not enjoy watching sin or listening to cussing. We like wholesome stories of human interest that does not portray the world as winner. If a movie depicts the idea that we do not have a God to turn to in times of trouble, we do weed it out.

But to sit and watch TV as it comes, (regular programing and commercials), we do not.

I hear Christians talking about they can not wait till another series of Star Wars comes out etc. That would be like going to Church and Running around shouting PRAISE THE LORD and talking in Tongues like you are very spiritual… than going out the door and getting into a fight on the parking lot with another Christian.

I am afraid what we have today is Christian-ets who go to church for a Sermon-et and than go out and smoke their Cigar-ets while they watch their TV-sets!

Well many talk about being a Christian, and even go to Church. Let me ask you a question. If a Mouse got in the Cookie Jar would that make him a Cookie?

Jesus said, you can tell them by their Fruits.

Many preachers are HUNDRED MILE CHRISTIANS. Someone said what is a HUNDRED MILE CHRISTIAN? Well the answer is… When they are at least 100 miles from home and away from those who know them, THEY ACT DIFFERENTLY. That’s right. Differently. Why they might even take a drink or do worse, chase women.

Many today think they are going to get by with it. In reality they are NOT. The Bible says that Sin will cause death and sickness. Sin opens the door for the enemy to WALK INTO THEIR HOME AND DESTROY. Like one country preacher said… HEY, DUDE, YOU LEFT THE BACK DOOR OPEN! SOMEONE GOT INTO YOUR HOUSE, LIFE, JOB, MARRIAGE, ETC.
