Which Gospel Message Do You Preach? — 8 Comments

  1. :( This makes me sad – that so many still believe that grace didn’t exist in the OT – and that there is a difference in the Covenant (the Covenant was RENEWED, look it up in the Hebrew) http://www.setapartpeople.com/new-or-renewed-covenant – GOD IS THE SAME YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER…He changeth not – nor will His word or Covenant with His people (ISRAEL & JUDAH).  Why would Jesus keep the law (INSTRUCTIONS) and keep it, just to tell us we don’t need to.  Our Father’s instructions on how to walk, how to love our neighbor, how to love our God is GOOD – not a curse!  To keep the law for salvation is wrong, but to keep His law (instructions) because we have salvation is completely different.  An obedient child should long to keep the instructions of His Father.
Hebrews 4 states that those at Sinai were preached THE SAME GOSPEL = good news!  But they didn’t have faith.  Noah found grace in the eyes of GOD (Gen 6:8). In fact, Grace is mentioned 39 times in the OT. Grace has always existed, and so has the ‘GOOD NEWS”…Dispensationalism is a man’s doctrine, not scriptural.

    • It is not that GRACE did not appear in the Old Testament time, and that it is a NEW COVENANT WORK….  but..

People must understand that the Law cannot save me period.  IT IS BECAUSE MEN CANNOT KEEP ALL OF THE LAW PERFECTLY.  Thus the Death of Christ [for man’s sins] and the Resurrection for mans Justification was totally necessary [in order for any man to be made perfect and to be fully saved].

Read it here: GALATIANS 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

FACT IS JESUS CHRIST HAD TO DIE TO FULFILL ALL PROMISES OF SALVATION THROUGH ABRAHAM [BY FAITH].  God did die in Jesus Christ for all the Old Testament Saints and believers.  See Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

PLEASE NOTE, WHAT IT SAID: they without us should not be made perfect.  Fact is Jesus Christ AFTER HIS RESURRECTION went into the Lower part of the Earth and LED CAPTIVES CAPTIVE.  Literally he emptied out ABRAHAM’S COMPARTMENT [the place prepared for all the OT Saints to go until the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ for their sins.  see Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

NOTE: IF THE OLD COVENANT COULD SAVE MEN [ANY MAN] THEN WHY DID JESUS CHRIST EVEN HAVE TO DIE?  see it here: GALATIANS 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

      • Mr Dewey,
I was raised in the church all of my life. I was taught exactly as you teach.  Until one day I started praying to be kept from deception, as I heard someone say “there is no deception like self deception”.  I prayed that for 3 years. And all of a sudden the truth of our Father’s words came alive to me. I had never heard of “Hebrew roots or Messianic”. The scripture that kept repeating in my spirit over and over like on a loud speaker was Matthew 7:22-23

“22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The word iniquity is “lawless or without law”.  What is the definition of sin?  1 John 3:4 “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”

Now I’m going to share with you, I am not that smart to connect all these dots. This was revelation by the Holy Spirit and He alone. When anyone puts their faith or hope of salvation in the law, they are in grave error. However, I am of the same conviction that one who holds to the grace testimony without our Father’s instructions are in just as much danger as the later group. We must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The grace that was extended to us was the free gift of salvation by the precious hand of our Father through the sacrifice of Jesus. We did nothing to deserve this gift = grace. But throughout the Bible, Abba gives exact instructions on how things are in His Kingdom. The instructions by which we will live in His Kingdom.  This is a part of my testimony. Though it may not be found of any interest to you or others, this experience that I have walked trumps doctrine, for me. No man or teacher revealed this to me. Only He can receive glory and honor. Not written from disrespect, but out of love.
