Who Will Come Out on Top? — 3 Comments

  1. So the choice is between a crook or a snake and in the end, division. Nothing to look forward to then, but more evil. Selah

  2. I think you better read the story again, because you missed some important facts. The Prophet Samuel led the people then. The people didn’t want Samuel’s sons to lead, because they weren’t good men. The people elected Saul to make him king. God told Samuel that the people were rejecting Him and not Samuel. By electing their own, they were rejecting God’s plan.
God also explained to them what the consequences would be. These consequences have most certainly happened.
The lesson of the story is to return to the Lord’s ways, and stop electing (voting for) our own king. Listen to the Lord, and accept what HE says.
The Lord went on to say to Samuel that because they rejected Him/the Lord 2, in that day they will pray about their King, and the Lord said that He would not hear their words.
The Lord’s position is perfectly clear when it comes to voting and elections. 1 Samuel 8

  3. The meaning of names in the Bible are very important, ‘Saul’ is Satan who is defeated by the Lord.
“I go down mourning unto my son, to Sheol, and his father weepeth for him Gen.37:35 (Young’s literal)
“For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning.
“and Saul arose from the earth, and his eyes having been opened, he beheld no one, and leading him by the hand they brought him to Damascus Acts 9:8
“the Devil said to him, `To thee I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it hath been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I do give it Luk.4:6
“seven times do pass over thee, till that thou knowest that the Most High is ruler in the kingdom of men, and to whom He willeth He (NOT you Satan) giveth it Dan 4:32
