You Will Be Called “Restores of Ruins”

Recalling the story of Nehemiah….
Nehemiah was a Jewish cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes in the 5th Century BC.
Hearing of the ruins of Jerusalem’s walls, Nehemiah prayed for help, and the king sent him to Judea as governor.
Nehemiah urged the people to rebuild the city walls, completing them in just 52 days despite strong opposition.
Today I want to encourage all of us to rebuild the “walls of fortification”.
- We have been attacked.
- We have seen our finances dry up.
- We have witnessed the theft of our possessions.
- We have seen our marriages fail.
- We have seen our children cry.
- We have seen our hearts torn apart.
- We have witnessed abandonment and betrayal.
- We have seen our elders weep.
- We have seen sickness and infirmity spread among us.
- We have seen brothers and sisters stray from their calling.
- We have seen ministries fall to idolatry, sex, and greed.
- We have seen the priests of our homes abandon them.
- We have seen watchmen and intercessors abandon their towers, their positions before The LORD.
But today’s Call is clearer than ever: to restore everything the enemy has desolated and destroyed!
Restorers of Ruins
We have prayed, pleaded, fasted, driven out, bound, and destroyed.
Now is the time for rebuilding!
“Your people will rebuild on the ancient ruins; you will raise the foundations laid for many ages, and you will be called the repairer of the breaches, the restorer of the paths to make the land habitable,” Isaiah 58:12.
We have been called to be the Nehemiahs of this time!
Let us dry our tears, strengthen our arms, and rebuild.
We are His.
He is with us.
Let us rebuild the ruined walls around our homes, immersing them in the Blood of the Lamb.
God has given us a mandate… the time has come.
No longer idle, but workers in the authority God has ministered to us.
The wait is over; today we work.
Let us rebuild in our homes an altar of praise and adoration to the Eternal our God.
Let us not relegate His name to a hasty trip to a place of worship, but to an intimate relationship that remains constant and steadfast over time.
Prayer
Father, we prostrate ourselves before the throne of Your Grace to receive the eye salve of heaven to see clearly what must be done.
Father, we have failed because we have focused on the problem, not on its Solver.
Father, today more than ever, we operate in the same Spirit as Nehemiah, rebuilding our lives in Christ Jesus.
Arise, LORD, in our lives and act through us.
Let Your Holy Spirit move freely within us.
We cry out for: Restitution! Restoration! Resurrection!
Today, may the knowledge dawn upon your people that they are Yours and that You fight alongside them.
The God of Hosts has thundered from His High Place and has decreed that this is the time to reclaim and restore the old paths.
Let us keep our gaze on high, from where the help we need will come to defeat and drive the enemy army from the places given to us to guard.
We are more than conquerors — because Christ has triumphed for us!
Amen, Amen and Amen!
