“And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away,” Matthew 14:22.

My heart has been on the multitudes ever since I ministered on Friday (one year ago) . . .somehow when I read that verse that word jumped off the page and my heart has been so touched. . .

Straightway: We don’t have time to sit back — our movement must be consistent as we continue to go forward in the things of God.

Constrained: This word is attached to the scripture above — because of the time factor Jesus urged them to get in the boat. (‘Urge’ is light compared to the word “constrained”.)

Multitudes: Well many times we want to know why some people are no longer in our lives — Jesus sent the multitudes away, as it was time for them to go to the other side. Time to focus on where we are going.

But that which Jesus sent away was also a part of that which they would minister to, in the times to come.

Time to get through the obstacles in the boat because a multitude is waiting — (break off fear, doubt, the opinions of others.)

Peter who stepped out of the boat — did ultimately minister to the multitude — Acts 2:41 — those who embraced the word were transformed.

1. There will be some multitudes that you will walk away from, because they don’t carry the grace nor the vision that you have for where you are going now.

2. There is are some multitudes that even though you value them, they don’t understand why you have changed, because they are trying to change you to become what they perceive you should be.

3. The fact is, you are being prepared for a multitude but they may not be a part of the same ones you saw before. The locale is different the season has changed, the purpose has shifted and now you are really ready to walk in the moment.

You have been in the crucible of fire so that you will have the word of the hour — it is the breathed fire word of ABBA.

Now this multitude is ready. . . .

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls,” Acts 2:41.
