Saved by Grace — and the Word SOZO
I woke up today hearing, “Saved by Grace, and the Word SOZO” and saw in The Spirit what looked like a traffic light.
The top light was a bright shining beautiful amber color and the bottom light was a beautiful black gemstone.
Black absorbs light — but does not reflect it. It is described as “the absence of light”.
The black stone is our works, whether good or bad.
The heavenly amber light is the Light of God.
So the Father was showing us that SOZO flows from Grace.
The very Life of God flows by His Grace and not by our works.
SOZO is a Greek verb used over 100 times in the New Testament primarily meaning to save, heal, deliver, or make whole and it implies a total restoration — spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
“Beloved,
You have looked at what you carry
and wondered if it was enough.
You have measured your strength,
your discipline, your knowledge,
your ability to “get it right” and asked,
“Is this what will sustain me?”
No, Dear One.
Your works will never achieve what Grace can.
I did not build your life on what you could produce
but I built it on Grace.
You are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
This is SOZO. My Life in you.
Men and women strive to be good and right
But works will not ever bring you
Life and Life abundantly.
You have tried, at times, to draw Life from what cannot give it.
Your works are
Not evil.
Not rejected.
Not despised.
But they can never be the Source of Life and Truth and Grace.
You are saved (SOZO) by Grace and not by works, lest any should boast.
My Light does not flicker
but is always steady
It does not increase
when you perform well
or dim when you feel weak.
It simply shines brilliantly upon you.
SOZO means
Saved.
Healed.
Made whole.
Restored.
Delivered.
This is not something
you achieve.
This is something
you receive.
Not partially restored by your effort
and finished by Me
But fully held,
fully healed,
fully sustained
by Grace alone.
No more striving.
No more comparing yourself to others
No more pressure
to make yourself “enough.”
Stand instead in the Healing Light
that is already shining upon you
From the Face of Jesus Christ.
There is no other Name by which you are saved. (SOZO)
Receive what you cannot produce.
Rest in what you did not earn.
Be restored in ways
you have never even dreamed of.
For it shall come from My Hand
And not from yours.
I AM the Master of SOZO, Beloved.
It is My Gift to you.”
SOZO : Strong’s #G4982 : Save/Rescue: Deliverance from danger, destruction, or the penalty of sin.
Heal/Restore: Making one well from physical sickness or disease.
Deliver/Protect: Setting free from demonic attacks and preserving safety.
Wholeness: Restoring a person to a state of being sound, whole, or healthy.
BLACK : Physics (Additive Color): Black is the absence of light, whereas white light is the combination of all colors.
Pigments (Subtractive Color): Black pigment absorbs nearly all visible light, preventing it from reflecting back to the eyes.
BLACK GEMSTONES : Symbolism and Context in the Bible
The primary black gemstone associated with the Old Testament High Priest is onyx (Hebrew: shoham), used for the two engraved stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod. Onyx, characterized by its black and white bands, symbolized the bearing of the twelve tribes of Israel.
“Therefore, since we have a great HIGH PRIEST who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have One who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet He did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of GRACE with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (sozo)”. Romans 10:9.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save (sozo) what was lost”. Luke 19:10.
“But Jesus turning and seeing her said, ‘Daughter, take courage, your faith has made you whole (sozo),’ and at once the woman was made well (sozo)”. Matthew 9:22.
“And as many as touched Him [the hem of His garment] were made well (sozo).” Mark 6:56.

peaceful and refreshing word from the Lord…thank you Deborah
Amazing.
This message has really hit my heart! I have been laid up lately and had plenty of time to read a book about Azuza Street and the great revival that took place. I was wondering, what did they have that I don’t. I was wanting what they had then, after reading what you wrote, I realized what I need is desire, and the Lord will do the rest. I want to see the great miracles again. They, the people that were ministering during Azuza Street, gave their time, and God did all the rest.
