A Sacred or Solemn Assembly
I’ve sat on this for a day or so, but it is laying heavy on my heart.
The LORD is encouraging me to release it now!
It is a serious burden that’s been on me for a while, and The LORD has now released it to me to post.
I was discussing the present prophetic world with an old friend — a Revivalist himself — with in depth, first hand experience of revival.
We were discussing that it seems that a lot of the prophetic had been taking a divergent path from Scriptures.
Prophets are more concerned with talking about the world system, and very much less about things more edifying and correcting to The Church.
I answered saying that I think many are prophesying against the world system, if for no other reason than it is an easy target.
However, the revelations coming from the world system are increasingly needed — because so many Christians still have their heads buried deeply in the sand, because they just don’t want to hear how corrupt so much of the world is today.
Revival is prophesied, but the necessity of preparation is ignored.
Calls for repentance are still deeply unpopular, as are calls for a “solemn assembly” in order to lead to The Church to Repentance — most people just prefer to enjoy political bashing as a light relief from all the gloom and doom the media is putting out.
And Yes, prophets too are afflicted by fear of what men say just as much as the average pew warmer! It’s not exactly ear-tickling — but it’s taking the focus off our own sin by pointing out others sin.
I’ve asked this before, but I’m prompted by The Holy Spirit to ask again — is there only a little — or no interest at all — in calling Intercessors and Prophets together, wherever we are located, for what Joel 1:14 calls A Sacred (or Solemn) Assembly for the purpose of Repentance before God, and for Him to “forgive our sin and heal our land”, or put another way, “water our dry land”?
The need is greater than ever before!
Just a suggestion, a serious one, for some of us to pray about.
Should we, can we, call a Sacred or Solemn Assembly, in line with Joel 1:14, to Repent and cry out for god to heal our land? — as outlined in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
I’m serious, please answer in similar vein.

Dear Bro Chris, I’m in total agreement with the need for a Solemn Assembly as God’s people in preparation for the coming revival.
The Lord, in August 2023 spoke through one of our prophetic intercessors from the house of prayer to call a solemn Assembly of repentance, then He will come as He (The Lord) wants our hearts.
I believe this is the Lord’s desire and those who have ears will hear what the Spirit is saying.

I just saw you inquired about a “Lamplighter”. When I said I saw you as a (prophetic) lamplighter – I actually had a image in my mind of Paul Revere (tho’ I hadn’t posted that). I saw you as a revivalist-prayer-watchmen for today, as Revere was a military watchmen for the young Colonies. He famously said: “To Arms! To Arms! The British are Coming”. This American Revolutionary War Patriot, Paul Revere, who rode his horse by midnight (April 18, 1775) to warn the Lexington Minutemen of impending danger, was used by God, for thar moment of time in the young Republic s history. I believe God is going to use many (you being a ‘father’ in the revivalist-watchmen company) to SOUND THE ALARM (not that the British are coming), rather, that THE KING OF GLORY IS COMING – and we all need to be ready. That’s how your post revealed itself to me – lighting a lamp – to be READY. God bless you in all you & Mrs. Bennett do for His Kingdom
Purge the prophetic of any hint of a political message before launching a solemn assembly. If I hear any hint of political agenda or of a political personage, I will submit to you that your assembly will do no good. Everyone must repent of the political before you can launch the spiritual. At every opportunity to be the political or the martial messiah, Jesus said that his Kingdom was not that kind of Kingdom. He said I come to destroy sin. So search your hearts, and surface your sin by the Power of the Holy Spirit, and kneel before the throne and confess it and ask for forgiveness. And then, when you have done this, call your solemn assembly. Or else the plank will remain in your eye, and you will not see how to proceed.

Tonight, I re-read your post of today, & just wanted to sit in the Lord’s presence. I believe I had not sensed the weight of the Word – that you are carrying- and I apologize for that.
The weight of the dire crisis humanity is in, much like in Israel’s past history, requires a weighty response from those who’ve been given the watchmen call. When a solemn assembly or convocation was called by God (2 Kings 20:18, Joel 1:14) it was a dire time – almost hopeless. The seers /prophets knew: only fasting/repentance would do. And His intercessors watchmen, priests, and prophets were the key -to stand in the gap.
As you continue on in this, seeking Holy Spirit strategy and how-to gather those who are willing to pray,fast, weep – I believe the Lord will give you the time , direction to garner the world of the nations who will respond.
p.s – When I re-read your post- I remembered your post of 2022 – and looked it up. You wrote on the Welsh revival. That was about 1904. Soon it will be 2024 – 120 years. I looked up the references for “120” in the Word. Wow- 120 in the Upper Room, so many Old Testament references w/the elders and prophets and tribes – too many verses to list here. I believe this ‘apostolic number’ shows the genius and precise timing of God. What if God wants to use you,and a company of prophetic intercessors to birth something (as in Rev J.Jenkins, Rev T.Job) the revival of 1904. You never know…Shalom.

Chris, I have been trying to write my book, intercede and prophesy. (TOO MUCH AT ONE TIME) and as I interceded a the whirlwind of the Lord coming against the whirlwind of evil I experienced a terrible sudden whirlwind in my body of dizzy vertigo and everything in me was ‘out of balance’..I have wept and cried out to God in repentance for getting caught up in it carrying the manifestation of the move of God in my body. It is only intermittent now as deep understanding continues to release the ‘fear of the Lord’ that is absent in much of the body of Christ. This warning is real and I stand firmly in agreement as we shout out for a SOLEMN stillness and SACRED holiness to grip the world and those who are called by His name and in particular those who carry the mantle of Prophet along with those prophesying to rightly divide the word as they tear down the walls that are protecting their own hearts that they may purify the prophet as we fight the fight of faith in the era of war. Hi Sandi, thank you once again for your encouragement- it always means so much to me! My heart is full right now but the heavens are a little brassy! I’ve had a lot of positive feedback here, but not so much of facebook. I don’t know where this will all lead, if indeed it leads anywhere, but I know it was Gods will to post it and therefore it’s His leading that I will follow!

Dear Brother in Christ –
Your posts always carry the heartbeat of a revivalist- and I hear the Holy Spirit calling nations to prayer and repentance in your posts.
You’re a Lamplighter for the Church – and your oil is meant to ignite fire-revivals of prayer – here and there. And yet – I am see the necessity (in the prophetic movement) to rightly-divide-the Word of God, and see the Lord has a role for everyone on the Kingdom – in His Church.
God uses and needs the Ezra’s and Nehemiah’s, or else there be no borders. And no borders spells no safety. God uses His Jehu’s and Cyrus’s, or else Jezebaal’s reign goes unmatched. God uses His Isaiah’s to correct, His Jeremiah’s to expose. In its essence, the prophets are used by God not just to expose, tear down false altars and idols, but to rebuild and sure up a foundation.
When I read Isaiah 60 and 61, I see the Spirit of the Messiah encompasses the totality of it all; correction, repentance, exhortation, deliverance, redemption, completion, comfort. King Jesus, is too Holy to be limited to one dimension or attribute – He is the sum composite of the Eternal Father, revealed.
To that end, YES, even as HE calls all HIS true followers to repentance and weeping between ‘the porch n’ the altar’, He Will also have those guarding the gate -with a war cry, a voice in the hour- which is as needful. God can and does execute all His attributes at once through all aspects of His character.
Elizabeth, I have known Chris for a long time and I just wanted to agree He is a Lamplighter and from a distance, I have observed the depth of His heart for God as His light has gotten brighter and brighter as I have followed his words. He is lighting a fire for revival as He endeavors to speak to the big picture that involves the leaders, God’s people, and the Church (those that assemble together) for there is an urgent need to be of ONE MIND and ONE ACCORD as we fight in this era of war. Dear Elizabeth, thank you so much for all your encouraging responses! If I may, I want to ask you about the ‘lamplighter’ calling – that’s not something I’ve heard from our British churches. I know I am called as an Ezekiel watchman, as per Ezekiel 33:1-7 – which was my first call from the Lord many years ago. My imagination sees a lamplighter as one who illuminates and leads the way for others to follow?

This is absolutely true. As I have listened and absorbed the word in a new way the last two years, it is undeniable that we are in for a devastating shaking to bring repentance front and center. As it began, so will it finish. John the Baptist (Elijah) came first. Jesus said he will come in the last days also. “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:5-6. Simply praying for and believing for revival without self-willed repentance is “putting the cart before the horse”. God never revived Israel without a shaking to drop them to their knees first. That’s about to happen. “…whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” Hebrews 12:26-27.
Judgement is coming for the prophets who have done this unless they turn quickly! “Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the Lord. They continually say to those who despise Me, ‘The Lord has said, “You shall have peace” ’; And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say, ‘No evil shall come upon you.’ ” For who has stood in the counsel of the Lord, And has perceived and heard His word? Who has marked His word and heard it? Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury— A violent whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The anger of the Lord will not turn back Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly. “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel, And had caused My people to hear My words, Then they would have turned them from their evil way And from the evil of their doings.” Jeremiah 23:16-22.
