When the hole appears, it is as real as you are! It’s as real as an open gaping bleeding wound. Doctors cannot see it, much less treat it. X-rays will not reveal it, yet it’s as plain as day. An open wound to the one has been abandoned, cussed at for no reason, suddenly cut off or wounded deeply, by cutting words of a spouse or friend.
Did you know that “the spirit of a man will sustain his physical wound; but a wounded spirit no one can bear“? Proverbs 18:14. No matter how it happened, the wound is more painful and debilitating than the strongest physical pain. Kind words, and hugs can relieve it for a moment, but once your alone it returns. Drugs, alcohol and sex give only temporary relieve, until the high wears off, and then the pain of remorse is added to the pain of the wound, and most wish to die!
Permanent relief is as close as the breath you breathe! The hole in your chest is there because you do not understand creation. When My Father created man, he was complete, because he was a one part being, a living soul, Genesis 2:7. His body, soul and Spirit were all one, a sinless eternal being, this is why death could not touch him.
When Adam sinned, My spirit had to leave him! This in turn left Adam with a physically corrupt body, 1 Corinthians 15:53-55 a sinful soul, Luke 12:19-20 and a gaping hole where Fathers eternal Spirit used to reside.
From that time until now, man has searched for something or someone to fill that gaping hole! Many believers think the salvation experience will fill it, and it does but only during the early stages, as a baby Christian.
However this too is only temporary, because all the effort is on heavens part, spoon feeding you, the riches of My glory, while you are in your new born state. Father has an eternal plan for a two way intimacy with you. A plan to move you past “the principles of the doctrine of salvation, and on to maturity; “ Hebrews 6:1.
Most western pastors do not lead the sheep beyond the baby stage, needing their continual dependence to grow large and influential churches, and “when the time comes that you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again, the first principles all over again; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat that comes from intimacy with Father,” Hebrews 5:12.
Now in your spiritual adolescent the problem arises; With the lack of intimacy, the hole begins to reappear because Father does not want you to remain a baby forever. At this point, the believer not being taught where to turn, reaches out for human relationships to fill it! It is quickly filled, but at great cost. When the hole is filled and it gives such great relief, that a dependency is almost instant!
Both parties enjoy it for a season, one feels needed and the other has their needs met. However you were not created with a space that a flawed human can fill. It’s a place that only I can fill, it’s My place, and I am jealous for that place. “You shall have no other relationships before Me: for I the Lord, whose name is Jealous, am a jealous God,” Exodus 34:14.
Every negative word, every rejection and every put down by the spouse or friend, trying to fill My space, will open the hole wide open again and again. You will soon become like a spiritual yo yo or a roller-coaster, opening and closing according to the moods of the one in My place.
It is time move on, beyond your salvation experience and into perfect intimacy with Me, and I will close up that hole in your chest forever! Matthew 6:6.
Let Me be the one who tells you what and who you are!
Let Me take care of that wounded heart of yours.
Make Me your first love! 1 John 4:19.
When you do, you will find your true identity and become stable in all your ways, knowing I will never leave you or forsake you! Then, whether spouse or friend, you will be ready for solid, healthy, long lasting relationships, because the hole in your chest is closed forever, and I have become all you need, your everything!
