  1. Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father you know the names of all your children and understand all their needs. I believe you sent your only son to die on my behalf and those who believe in him so they can be totally and completely saved. And as Paul wrote that this acceptance of your son and the message of the Good News brought great joy to Paul! Paul filled with the Holy Spirit rejoiced over those in Thessalonica that also recieved your truth ” Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe. (‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ NLT)
Dear Father, we give thanks for your son who shared that looking inward there is no power to save but to look to the one whom you sent saves!  We should trust and this is our work!  We thank you that our salvation doesn’t depend on our works or ferreting out every single fault we have made! As Our Dear Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” (‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭29‬ NLT)

Let us realize that submission isn’t trying to figure out how to save ourselves!
But to look to the one whom you sent!! Let us lift the name of Jesus so ears may be opened and eyes can see!!! Lets us point to the life saving reviving power of your son Jesus!!! Let us not disappoint you dear father as the prophets of old whom you said ….”they are trying to get my people to forget me just as their ancestors did….” So let us turn every heart to the life giving redemptive power of a Jesus, who is the only one that can save the people from their sins and recieve victory in this life and the next!!

We know you know our hearts and you have prepared a glorious destiny for those who trust you with themselves! Father I give you glory for you desire no one to be lost or to stumble but have made provision in your son Jesus for all our needs. He is our exceedingly rich reward! Let us not beat up ourselves and call it worship for this doesn’t please you! As this was the ceremony of those that worshipped the Baals “So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out. (‭1 Kings‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬ NLT)”

Lord but the prophet you sent called the people back again and the sacrifice that was required was the sacrifice you provided throught the prophet Elijah! The people beheld your sacrifice and their hearts were turned back to you!! And rain was once again provided in the land!!
Lord let your people believe in the might and power of Our Lord Jesus to save!!! The acceptable sacrifice in your sight! Let us see that you don’t have to figure out your sins and change on your own but look to you and recieve the power to overcome your weaknesses, for your power is made perfect in weakness!! This is the unacceptable sacrifice!!! I give thanks for your son who has powerfully redeemed all those who believe on His name! I give thanks that Elijah didn’t ask each of the people to take turns and figure out and share every sin they had done before your power from heaven fell( or else that could have been a longer painful chapter instead of one that shows joyful victory over sin). No, it was your love and mercy Lord that led them to repentance and forgave their sins! It was your provision and power that rescued them! It was you Father and Dear Lord Jesus that made the way! You are trustworthy and true!!! You are goodness and love!  You remove the hinderances to forgiveness by taking the focus off ourselves and not requiring we analyzie all our faults to recieve total forgiveness. But you tell us to look to you and believe in your Son!! Praise the name of Jesus who gave His life so we could be set free!!! In Jesus name I pray!! Amen.
