Acts 9:5b “…It is hard for you to KICK AGAINST THE PRICKS.”
Saul than turned around that day in HIS ROAD… and headed the other way TO DO THE WILL OF GOD. It was not always the EASY ROAD for him to travel but God changed his name from Guilty Saul to Pardoned PAUL and he became A SPECIAL APOSTLE SENT TO THE GENTILES. Paul never had it easy. He suffered a lot. He was thrown out of churches, out of cities, beat up and left for dead, lowered over walls in baskets and escaped during the night, laughed at and arrested and thrown into jails, and even shipwrecked and bitten by a snake! He died in prison in Rome and never again felt any freedom. Paul, the Great Christian, was great because he… QUIT KICKING AGAINST THE PRICKS.
Let us remember that Paul said, I AM A BOND SLAVE TO JESUS CHRIST. MY LIFE IS NOT MY OWN. I AM BOUGHT WITH A PRICE, THEREFORE I SERVE THE LORD.
Let us face it. IT WILL HARDER TO KICK THE PRICKS than to suffer for Jesus Christ in this evil end time world. I would rather Suffer than to be KICKING GOD’S WILL FOR MY LIFE. The Lord knows best for his servants. We may suffer now for Jesus, at the hand of evil men, but BE GREATLY BLESSED LATER at the hand of our Loving Lord.
I saw this cactus growing in the desert here in New Mexico and took this picture. It caused me to remember the above word. I pray it will cause someone who is running from God’s Call and finding it hard to… KICK AGAINST PRICKS.
