Be Strong and of Good Courage — 1 Comment

  1. Thank you for sharing this. After reading the meaning of “bullseye”, The Spirit spoke to my heart “(H)armartia”. This is G266 in Strong’s, meaning “missing the mark” and is used for the word “Sin” in the NT and LXX in the OT. This word is a compound word. “A” is a “negative particle” and is attached to G3313 “Meros”. “Meros” means “share, allotment, a part.” The combining of the two literally means, “no share, no portion” which is the end result of unforgiven sin.
The main point of this is that “Meros” could figuratively mean, “hitting the mark”, or bullseye. Another possible meaning for the warrior once again picking up and Believing the WORD, aka Arrows, and, by Faith In His Ability, shooting bullseyes with them, is, (after confessing our sins (harmatia) and appropriating by Faith (Shield), His Grace, for the forgiveness of the sin of unbelief) the recognizing and fulfilling of his own God Given Portion, Calling and Destiny, IN CHRIST! May we all be encouraged in the knowledge and understanding of Him and of our “portion, allotment”, placement and function within His Body.

    Eph 1:17-23

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
