This morning I read again how President Trump’s address brought the various Nations at a Terrorism Conference to silence, so I shared it on my social media.

The first comment I received was this — “Can’t see [our Prime Minister] doing this!”

To this another comment said, “That’s ’cause he won’t be there, he is not God’s man!”

At this point, The Holy Spirit inspired me to say, “Quite agree . . . Unless he’s God’s man to bring Britain back to her senses? Nebuchadnezzar?”

I was quite intrigued by this, so I pursued it further and The Holy Spirit started talking, showing me in His Word Daniel 1-4. how Nebuchadnezzar led Israel into captivity and slavery.

But watch what happened!

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream which nobody, until Daniel, was able to interpret. He dreamed about the huge statue in which he, King Nebuchadnezzar, was the gold head. The statue crumbled and fell.

During the time lapse between the dream and its manifestation, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednigo refused to worship any god other than The LORD, and had to pay the consequences — that is, they faced the fiery furnace and then the lion’s den.

Then Nebuchadnezzar fell, only to be restored several years later.

The Holy Spirit began to bring revelation, by linking this story to Britain today.

He showed me quite clearly that Britain had been (was being) led into captivity and slavery by a modern day Nebuchadnezzar.

This situation will only be at God’s hand.

Protest, moan, groan, and grumble as much as we may, it will not be our efforts that bring downfall, but it will come at God’s Command from the hand of another.

We may postulate as many theories as we like — our ‘release’ will only come from God — and it will be a miracle — or an event none of us is expecting — that can only come from a supernatural source!

We will probably have our own ‘fiery furnace’.

We will probably have our own ‘lions den’.

Someone in Authority will probably be “retired to spend time in the fields — put out to grass!”!

Britain will be, like Israel, restored.

Who is our Daniel?

I don’t know — although one or two names suggest themselves to me….

Who is our Ashpenaz (Chief of the Staff to the King) who will introduce this ‘Cyrus-like character’ into our story?

Again, I don’t know…..

All I know is, dark as things look now, there is hope! There’s always hope in our Saviour!

This is something for the Prophets to keep on watch, and for the Intercessors to lead the rest of us in Prayer.
