I had an encounter yesterday as I was driving home from the doctor. I was listening to this song and began to look at the bright sun in my windshield. I thought back at first at one time when I was first saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit.
I had gone out on a boat with some friends of mine who were not saved. God told me to have them take me to the dock so that I could go to church, I knew that this was a test for me to pass. The friends began making fun of me, because I was use to drinking and partying with them before. So I asked them to drop me off and as I thought they did make fun but I persisted.
I drove about 10 miles wondering myself if I had gone crazy! Suddenly, in a flash, the face of the Ancient of Days came up before my face.
His hair was white like wool and His face was like the sun! Then there were flames that came forth from His eyes and the flames seemed to go into my eyes. I had to pull off of the road and sat there and sobbed for what seemed like forever.
Then as I was driving yesterday, listening to the song, God took me to one day after I had a great loss in my life, and was walking home from working at school. I had just also lost my sweet Dog Daisy. But as I was walking, there was this little, cute, but very pitiful looking dog in the middle of the road, looking up at me and then she rolled over on her belly as if to say, “Pet me.” I did.
I went to look for her owner, and long story short, I took her home and cleaned her up and every day I had her, she made me smile, just to look at her face. When she died, I had the Florida Outpouring on and Rick Pino was then singing a song about His face. “I love your Face,” were the words.
I couldn’t stop crying thinking about my Muffin and I knew God had given her to just me so that He could heal something in me.
So yesterday, when listening to this song, these two encounters came to me and the Lord said, “My Face not only shines like the Sun, but it shines in the face of a sweet little Dog, or in the face of a child, or an old man, if you are looking for me.”
My heart burned within me at His words, and again I had to pull off of the road.
