We all ask all kinds of questions:

• How do I look?
• What is there to eat?
• Where are we going today?
• Why did you do that?
• Where are my keys?
• How do you feel?
• What do you think of this?
• Where do you live?
• Can I go, too?
• How did that happen?
• When are we leaving?
• What’s taking you so long?
• Are you sure about that?
• Aren’t you going to wash your face and hands?
• Did you use soap?
• Aren’t we almost out of gas?
• Did you check the oil in the car?
• Did you clean up after yourself?
• Did you feed the dog?
• Did you put everything away when you were done?
• Are we there yet?

Endless — endless questions……

They almost always put people in the position of defending themselves. So, why do you ask?

We all ask questions because we are all looking for answers. It is in our nature to seek answers. And, yes, there are times we are told to keep quiet.

There is one question that seems very imposing to us. It almost makes you wonder if there is some cunning, ulterior motive when this question is posed to you, especially when you least expect it.

It will almost catch you off guard. That is; “What would you like me to do for you? ”

How many of us would have a very quick answer?

But I remember an incident in The Bible, in The Gospel of Mark, Chapter 10, where Jesus was walking along a road and a very large, noisy crowd was leaving the city following Him.

A blind man was sitting along the side of the road, begging. As the crowd was passing by, he realized that Jesus was passing by.

The blind man’s name was Bartimaeus. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Jesus stopped, and said; “Call him.”

So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.

“What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.

The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

“Go!” Jesus said, “Your Faith has healed you.”

Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

Now envision yourself standing on the side of the dusty road. You have had many questions during your life about why things are the way they are.

You have come to realize that the crowd in your life has been passing you by. The goals you have set for yourself have faltered.

The Dreams you had about the things you thought you could accomplish have been tripped up by events you had no control over.

You Dream of starting again, but your adversary has had his way with you, holding you captive with fear of failure, convincing you that you’re too late, or your opportunity never would have worked anyway, or the money will never be there like you had hoped.

So you are stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

The call of God to your spirit is still there. But the crowd that represents the adversary had said, “Be quiet., it’s my turn, you’ve had your chance.”

But you know very well, deep inside of your heart, that there must be a way out.

Remember this: “Jesus stopped….”

He is now standing on the road that you were called to walk on. He is still calling you to come to Him.

He is saying to you: “What would you like Me to do for you?”

On my job this week (in December 10, 2016), as I was walking from my work station, I heard very clearly the Voice of The LORD say to me: “Tom — what would you like Me to do for you?”

How do you think I answered Him?

It took me totally by surprise. I didn’t know how to answer at first.

In my own frustrated way, I called out to Him in my spirit how I wanted Him to use me; how I wanted physical healing for my family; how I really wanted to walk in the Power of The Holy Spirit, to see miracles take place; to be the prophet He has called to be.

The Word that is Sent is empowering you to receive the gifts and calling of God that is without repentance.

He has never changed His desires for your life. Now you have been put on the receiving end of the Rhema Word of life.

He has set you upon solid rock, and that Rock is Christ. He has called you to become fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able also to perform.

For He is faithful Who promised, and He will do it.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper, and be in health, even as your souls prosper. I take great delight when I see that my children are walking in the truth.” 3 John 1-2.
